They’re capable of living 100-150 years, and they’re not even fully grown until 20-25 years old, but in the wild, Galapagos tortoises usually die within the first 10 years :(

@@alpzepta The problem of getting over say 122 years old (like Jeanna Calment) is cancer and a weakened immune system with age. our metabolism is a lot faster than a tortoise which is why they live so long, ours is a lot faster. Our heart rate VS Tortoise is a lot higher so if you want to age better start working out for a lower resting heart rate!
