I think there's actually quite a bit to the Luna/Celestia parallel. The designs obviously, but why don't we carry this comparison way farther than was probably meant: Luna is the younger sister. Pharynx is the elder brother. Luna wanted to change the status quo (eternal night). Pharynx wanted to undo a change to the status quo (return to the old ways of doing things). Luna tried to force others to accept and love her. Pharynx didn't try to stay where he wasn't wanted. Celestia and Thorax are the more social of their respective pairs. Luna and Pharynx are guardians of the dream realm/the hive.

I much prefer them as friends, if only because this fandom seems obsessed with same sex relationships and Starlight and Trixie have enough trouble with just being friends, let alone lovers. Many people talk about the whole "The Starlight I love" line but ignore that many characters have said similar things towards their friends in this show. Its fine to have fun shipping, but so many act like its a fact or makes sense for their characters. Trixie hasn't even had a friend until Starlight, so let them be friends before you turn them into lovers. Plus this show is pretty blatant when it comes to actual romance indications (i.e. Lyra and Bon Bon, Big Macintosh and Sugar Belle).

I really enjoyed this episode, I love Thorax's brother, he's great. And the new design for Thorax's brother is a lot better in my opinion then Thorax and the other Changelings, a lot more subtle in the colors. Trixie was great in this, loved her one liners; normally I get annoyed but I ended up laughing at her antics more then I thought I would. Starlight of course was great in this as well, a lot of great moments between the characters. Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD. And of course you harp on the not exactly straight line, love it. And You Know Who, Voldemort hates craft time and sharing feelings. XD.

I agree that the episode was fine. It's nice to see Starlight and Trixie again for another episode. Thorax's brother Pharynx was just like the old days when the Changelings were the enemies to all Ponies, but at least the two had to do something about it. Now...I still have mixed feelings about the new Changeling designs as well as other people do. Looking at them now, it's starting to become sour. I really like Trixie in this episode though. She was funny in parts of this adventure.
I think the hitting yourself thing makes a lot more sense when I'm reminded that Changelings are bugs. It's like someone swatting at a fly/knat/mosquito/etc..
One thing I thought was interesting was that, for the first time in the series, none of the Mane 6, Spike, or the CMCs were in the episode at all. I kinda liked that, though. It helps to keep things interesting, in my opinion.

Also on Netflix, they revoiced a bunch of parts in "Where The Apple Lies" so that every time that "cider" was said, "juice" was said instead. And yet the cider squeezy 4000 episode was untouched, silly Netflix xD

I really do wish the show kept Spherinx the way he was. I think there should have been a small group of changelings that didn't change (I know there was a group, but they were ''Reformed'').
