- Philippines expat lifestyle... Grandma showed up yesterday and brought some fresh corn on the cob from her Cornfield Basecamp & Truck Patch. The ladies slow cooked the corn all night. I thought corn was on the menu for breakfast but I was wrong again. Grandma took over my cooking table and whipped up a breakfast of champions!

Sodium and msg doesn't stay in your body if you sweat and pee a lot. That's why it doesn't affect Asian people who live in hot climates - they sweat it all out unless they sit under Aircon the whole day.
Fat and sugar is where the problem is - everything is deepfried in oil and tons of sugar in everything.

@@andyh5822 Yes and main cause are immobile life style, saturated fats from deepfried foods, obesity from sugar, smoking and drinking.
Look: Vietnamese, Koreans, Thai - they all consume a lot of msg but it doesn't affect them much because they "sweat it out".

Hello Marco, how's life treating you and the family, what is chance of a person to show up in town where you are and get a place to rent. I spent 2 weeks in Angeles City didn't like it been down here in Dumaguete. Still not what I am looking for. I am 60yrs old just moved to the Philippines no plans to go back to the states. Gran-maw told me she doesn't want to see my big, fat, bloated, ugly face no more. That's okay. I'll be out to play cards with Tay Tay. I jus' need to smuggle myself into that overhead compartment on Philippine Airlines. Last time I pulled that stunt the stewardess saw me climbing out of the overhead bin she almost had a heart attack.
