In 2024 we're joining tall ship Bessie Ellen to document a year in her life as she embarks on a 120th birthday voyage round Britain. As official crew members (albeit 'camera crew'!) we have to undergo an intensive 5 day training course - the STCW Basic Safety Week course.
We did ours at Stream Marine Training in Glasgow and are happy to say we now have all our certificates in hand!

What a fabulous experience you both are having. Thanks so much for sharing this story. Several years ago I was privileged to take a short day trip on the West Coast’s Tall Ship…the Zodiac. It was an experience of a lifetime as I was privileged to be at the helm for about 10 minutes with the Captain ….a thrill I will cherish forever! I sit and just drool at the wonderful experience you’re having.
