Yes the Communion of Saints which we recite in our early Christian creeds testify to this as well as the many churches from the Eastern traditions orthodox, coptic, catholic, etc.

I do not doubt for a minute that he does not believe in the stuff that he churns out day in day out year in year out. its a very very lucrative meal ticket for him that is all it is. It has zero to do with God other than he is blaspheming his name every time he uses it.

Go to mike Hoggard’s Church on line I’m mo.and he will pray with you. He is a great teacher. He has a lot online you can hear. He teaches truth. Be careful of people saying they can read you like the prophets did in the Bible. There is a lot of deception in the church going on. Bless you brother

At 4:08 Shawn Bolz declares there are dead saints in intercession....These are ideas being presented to the protestant church so it will merge with the Catholic... Anyone who says otherwise simply doesn't know how to read a Catholic Catechism.
I had that thought as well, but realized that Catholic doctrine misses the mark in that Catholics pray to and for the dead, where as Shawn is saying the dead pray for us who are still alive. Both beliefs are saying that the dead saints in Christ pray to God, whether they be in heaven or on Earth, but in some catholic practices, they direct their prayers to people rather than to God.
Shawn said the dead "bob jones and bill's father" were in intercession... did you hear that? There is only one in intercession for us, that's Jesus. I will QUOTE from the Official Catechism of the Catholic church, paragraph 958 - Our prayer for them is capable not only of helping them, but also of making their intercession for us effective. -------So you see, you are in error. Catholic teaching is not only our prayer for the dead saints, but their intercession for us. So this is Catholic doctrine.I will also QUOTE paragraph 956 which is entitled... guess what? The intercession of the saints, and refers to the dead saints in heaven interceding Please don't tell me this is not Catholic. You can't get more Catholic that the Catholic Catechism!

Thank you for the quotation. Good to learn about their beliefs. I wasn't disagreeing with the thought that this doctrine isn't present in Catholicism, (although I didn't realize it was present in the catechism) I was saying that both Shawn and Catholic doctrine agree that the dead in Christ intercede for those that are still alive, BUT that the Catholic doctrine takes it a step further in that we who are alive are encouraged to pray to and for the dead, and I believe that's where the error in the doctrine resides. I am familiar with the passage that Jesus intercedes for us to this day as found in Heb. 7:25 and Romans 8:34.
All of you are missing the most important aspect of the saints in heaven. Forget the Catholic mysticism. That is a dead end for your objection, rather focus on “relationships.” What do you think when men and women throughout the ages are doing there in the very glory of Jesus himself? Those like Moses and Abraham who were known as “friends of God.” So many others throughout the ages included. The great cloud of witnesses are those with an invested interest in US fulfilling what they started. Call it whatever you want. I call it “conversation with Jesus !” What’s the difference between intercession or conversation? Do you think the saints in glory are playing chess or a game of FISH and zero interest in how this story of Jesus, life death and resurrection plays out? How do you miss that in your criticism.???? Unless your life with Jesus is severely lacking a living relationship with Him and your life means nothing but going to church with no impact on the fulfillment of the prophecies of scripture ?
@@Jeff89Fox It does feel like in the modern day charismatic church, the things we traditionally criticized in Catholicism as Protestants are proving to be correct in the realm of the Spirit.
Shawn Baloney has been called out on this many times. Nothing more than a well researched act to keep the speaking invites and dollars flowing. If you were to write down all of his "Does xyz mean anything to anyone here?" lines, you will quickly find pattern, through simply clicking through people's social media. It's a very simple trick, that only requires you to know about 5 people in advance who will be attending. Luckily for him most Christian events have a facebook page, and those who plan to attend either like or 'follow' the event page. About 70-80% of attendees will even go as far hitting the 'going' button to indicate that they will definitely be at the service/event. All Shawn has to do, is write down beforehand some "amazing facts" from people's social media accounts (birthdays, places of birth, anniversaries, pet names, significant events - i.e. child dying, or name of business etc etc. All of this information is readily available with a few clicks. Once you realise what he does, it's very sad and dishonouring to the church. I had never heard of this guy, until he came and done his trick at a conference in the U.K. I was at (Rivercamp). As soon as he started spouting off the "This might mean something to someone" the Holy Spirit immediately witnessed to me that it was bogus, and I kept the matter in mind for later on. A few weeks later, I looked into the first few facts he 'shared' and found the information myself on people's facebook and twitter, and so not only had the Holy Spirit told me it was a scam, I had the hard evidence myself.

There is a lot more public information available than people realize beyond Facebook and Social Media. There are a lot more techniques. It breaks my heart that people fall for this guy. To be honest, there is no point in explaining to these people how it can be done. I think personally, it makes me sad that people look to this man, for what can be found by following Jesus. You don't need a man to tell you you're date of birth and therefore it validates God. Living by the word, following God, becoming more like Jesus every day, validates God, if reveals your purpose, it increases love in your heart. Seeking confirmation through Bolz, because he says something you already know, is not seeking faith. I just don't get it all. Bolz could tell me everything under the sun about my life. What would I care. If he told me what I ate on my eighteenth birthday, it wouldn't mean anything to me. Following Jesus is what means something to me.
The reason that you interpret his ministry in this way is because you have never experienced the supernatural gift of word of knowledge. I have. I'm a reformed TULIP guy who loves the ministry of John MacArthur and, at the same time, the ministry of Bill Johnson. Both of those men have their shortcomings, but they are anointed servants of God who minister by the grace of God in the Holy Spirit. God is preparing a massive harvest of souls to precede the return of Christ. The maturing of the body of Christ means that people like you will need to rethink their prejudice against the things of the Spirit. Reply if you would like me to detail my own experience of the word of knowledge.

Keep in mind that when Jesus was talking to the Sadducees, He told them that God called Himself the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Then He said that God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Is this your first time seeing Shawn Bolz? This video was my first exposure to him, and started my wondering about what he was about and how he was doing what he was doing.
not my first time; simply amazed that it seems that all the contents of his prophecies. are already on the web.
I see. That's a fair concern in our day and age. There's really no middle ground to 'kind of believe in something' when he's that accurate. He either looked it up on the internet somehow, or heard direct from God, and that's a tough leap! I find what helps with being able to discern or accept anyone's testimonies is investigating someone's character first before believing in their stories. So I encourage you to listen to the first 10minutes of his origin story video I posted where he tells about his first experiences with hearing these kind of accurate words... if you have an ounce of hope that something like this might be real. Shawn's definitely worth taking that chance. :)

I know people personally who have received prophecy from him, and they'd be able to tell me whether the information he spoke over them was on the web or not. But as I stated, here's the origin story of his first prophecy he gave that was crazy accurate. The story starts at the 8:30 mark and goes to about the 12min.
We don’t see things in heaven. When John saw heaven he said that he couldn’t speak of most things there. Jesus just says that he has a place for you. They don’t speak about seeing what people are doing. There are also no prophets today either that was during the times of the apostles so that the foundation of the church would be built. We aren’t building the foundation today. Jesus was the cornerstone and the apostles were the stone that’s when Jesus said to peter because his name means rock that h will build his church and he and the other disciples were the other stones for the foundation of the church. We are already the church now and we have the Bible and all the prophecies that God ordained. I
