@@The.Odyssey ok, the one I need is the one for the Silverado, you posted a link where the price was 16 something, now when I'm about to make the purchase it gives me another kit that costs 28 and comes with other things, my question is, does that apply? also ? thank you
@@anelsonh I can't be certain on the redirect. It sounds like the same kit in the description though. It should work, sorry the $16 option isn't avaliable.
Great video!! You mention home position when adjusting the needles. I have to tweak my tach, speedo and gas gauge on my swapped cluster. Do I just move the needles a little?
@Black1994ImpalaSS turn it till it stops and then turn a little more. The needle will slide on the shaft, if it doesn't work at first, just give it that hawk tauh and spit on that thang.
The sucker? Being multiple pin I would say yes, there is also solder wick that can be used. Reason I say yes is you need to clear the hole to put the new one in all the way. I do think I could do it without... but this makes it easier. If we are talking about a soldering iron yes you need that.
In the link for the motors it gives an option for two different sizes. c27-168-A and C27-168-B. 13$ price difference so I assume they are pretty different. Which one do I need? 05 chev1500.
Well, the fact that it was multiple really pointed me this way along with it being a common problem (which I researched as did you). Now if it was only one, I would first look at that sensor, most likely by hooking a scanner up to monitor the output and that would decide my direction from there.
Thank you for taking the time and showing this.
Hi great video. Would this work for 07 Silverado? Gas gauge not working..
Great video and information. Thank you
Thanks for the feedback and for watching!
@The.Odyssey what temp did you have the iron at? I redid my fuel no problem but the rpm still won't work. Thinking I need to try again...
I don't remember what it was set at, most likely 650 to 700
How did you adjust the gauges? You talk about around (6:29) it but it's not included in your video
Just spin the needle on the pin (motor shaft) by turning it till the motor stops it and giving it a little more
Great video thank you so much
Happy and blessed day, dear please, the kit that you indicate to buy is not available, can you tell me where else I can locate it?
Which one? Top link in the description works and is available

2008 Silverado here would bad stepper motor in the cluster cause a check engine light?
No, i dont believe it would. Have you had it scanned and if so what code(s) are you showing.

@@The.Odyssey I am at a loss. There is a pin that will not let it turn.
I pulled the tach and gas gauge and reset. The Speedo is a bit of a challenge
Would I need to have the Sodering tool to complete this...or could I just pop off them off ?

B comes with a tool / supply kit. When selected the photo updates to reflect this
@@The.Odyssey 10-4 thanks
#7 stepper motor is probably for the transmission temperature
Have you had to hy pass the security yet?
Where ya flip the key like 3 times?
thanks
The real question is how to determine its the steper motor is the problem 🤔.

@The.Odyssey i just diagnosed mine i find out the harness was loose.
Trans temp is the other one btw
I've never checked a trans temp. Must be a chevy driver thing, I usually drive a dodge.
@@The.Odyssey some models come with the gauge and some don’t. But they are all wired for it from factory.
