It says 800 MHz because that's the base speed of N100

Im really excited to see an N100 based compute module and sincerely hope to see some well featured cluster boards like the Turing Pi come out for it. Very promising product!

The Intel N100 is a nice little chip. I went for the cheap option, and got the Firebat T8 Plus mini PC. It's much faster than a Raspberry Pi 5 and has better software support (because of X86 vs ARM). And it can play 4K UA-cam AV1 with Firefox on Ubuntu.

I don't know what the BIOS on the Firebat is like (altho I'll look back at your video right after this lol) but the BIOS here was loaded with way more features/options for customization than my GMKtec Ryzen 7 mini PC. Assuming Firebat went a similar route in terms of the BIOS, I kinda get why this is priced higher.

I do wonder how much of this system is actually in the carrier board as opposed to the CPU board or whatever. when I saw it I got briefly excited that it might fit in a Turing Pi 2, but sadly it looks like not so much.

Nice review! Did you try to adjust the TDP and max it out to 35w? That should change your results…

Yeah but the advantages of mu are many if all your looking for is a small power pc any n100 mini pc is fine but this board allows for a X4 GPU attachment and display e.g mini rig

This is not just a mini PC. its an SBC which is meant to be a development board not for basic consumer use. If you want an N100 sff pc just to browse the web, then yeah this is not for you........ The compute module is meant to be used with custom carrier boards that anyone can design if they know what they are doing for their specific usecase....
