I hope those horns don't dent your fender with the travel of the forks. I sent a deer hornet in the same spot and dented the fender! May have to relocate horns
What pisses me off about MOTOHORN is their ads make it sound like it is a REAL TRUCK Air Horn when in reality, it's just a loud regular horn. If they'd be honest with their advertising, I might consider them. In the meantime, My Wolo is just as loud and takes up less space on the bike.
I'm going to remove my existing horn and replace it with the new ones, since the relay and fuses are already there, I would think all I have to do is just use a "Jumper " wire and power the other horn.
2018 Harley-Davidson Deluxe, same exact install, fender hit the horns on the first ride and dented the fender up!!! Don't install anything in the suspension travel area of the front fender! It sucks it was ever suggested by Motohorn to place them there!
Yes. It was one of the places that the company recommended for mounting the horns. If you watch the video commercials you will see them Mounted in the same place. I thought I had plenty of clearance. But I was wrong
Interesting and thanks for the video. When i see the commercials they are making it sound like an air horn. I know you only press it for about a half second....any chance you could do like a 3-4 second blast to get a true idea of what it sounds like? And also, have you had any need to use it and does it get people attention or are the other motohorns perhaps a better purchase. RSVP and thanks:)
As soon as I get the bike finished I’ll do another video. They have a air horn model but I didn’t want is on my bike. ( too big). It sounds like a car horn
How far did you get when riding it before your front fender slammed into the horns as the shocks traveled upward when you hit your first dip? I had a Honda VTX 1800 that I tried that spot to mount it and it cost me $350 to have the fender repaired and painted. I have tried every place I can think of on my HD Ultra Limited but can't find any place that works. I can't use the original horn location because of the Jims Forced air fan that is located there. Because of the fairing lowers there is no place up front that will fit including between the lowers between the wishbone part of the frame. I'm not going to mount them behind me and suffer the loss of forward sound necessary for them to function in order to have whoever I am honking at hear me. I would appreciate suggestions if anyone has an Ultra that made them work some place other than the original horn location.
Hi Dean, I'm talking with a product liability lawyer to sue MotoHorn for "failure to warn" of damage because they list this location in their instructions as a best place to install the horns. I suggest you add in the description of this video that this is a bad place and not to install it here or maybe make it private, so only the lawyers can view it. If others watch it without seeing the "after" video of your severely dented fender, then they might copy. MotorHorn is responsible for your damage. It's not just oh well, live and learn.
I contacted Moto Horn also when mine was damaged to the same way. They did nothing except tell me that I should not have put it there. Which contradicts their own instructions. That’s why I’m getting with the lawyer.
What I need is a how to install factory horn 😂 my 2018 road glide special horn was removed.. By previous owner. I need to find the wires for the horn or how to wiring it back 😂
@@deansnyder4515 unfortunately i bought the dual track because i wanted to replace my stock horn on my Yamaha XT 225. I literally got nothing with their "plug and play" setup. I have no choice but to do this. My real problem was i bought it on Black Friday with a great discount. But so far the "it only takes minutes" install has turned into a few hours. I have extremely limited space to mount. Once I figured that out, then the test with nothing 🤦🏼♂️ now since i have to install a relay kit, I'm gonna replace the mounting area and put it under my seat....i still dont like it but its better then the initial mount i was using so i could "plug and play" 🙄

It happened. Watch the other video
I appreciate your video, very valuable to me in my decision on getting one.

This video helped A LOT ! Thank you Sir !
Just make sure you watch the follow up video
I like the sound of all three together
I’m gonna try that
Thanks
Watch were you place the horn may dent your fender with the fork travel
It’s actually pretty good sound.
Trying to return mine nothing like air horn n plastic too😫
ya their advertising is fake, I thought the same thing.
I didn't expect it to be as loud as a real air horn especially since it doesn't have a air tank with it
Great Video ! Thanks !
Not getting one. Sounds nothing like the ad

They don’t tell you this additional crap before you buy the horn. As a kit, it should include what you need to add the horn to your bike!
Their add for the dual track is seriously misleading

Kinda sketchy place to locate it 🤔 did you damage your fender yet ? When shock compact does it touch ?

@@deansnyder4515 same here (before finding your video). Learned the hard way.

It’s definitely louder than the bike horn
A very simple procedure made way, way more complicated than necessary. If you're intent was to scare people away from these horns - you succeeded.
Not the plan. You can mount them where your stock horn is, but I wanted to place them elsewhere and keep the factory horn

I was wondering the same thing. I wanted to mount mine here but decided against it.
@@jlaskowski76 Found this video ua-cam.com/video/GCJhdhjrpRA/v-deo.html showing the result of mounting it here. Just as I expected.

My 2019 HD EGS
Horn is at least that loud...
Fast forward to 9:00 to be disappointed with this product. I bought the "air" horn and so far I'm underwhelmed.
I haven't received mine yet, i wish I seen these reviews before I wasted my money. No way in hadies am I gonna waste my time messing with that crap!
first big bump you hit your fender will be destroyed... bad place to put those horns
Yup that's what I was thinking
It didn’t take a big bump
To much travel on the forks bent fender
Too complicated for people who just want the basics.
Not worth it
100% not worth it
Agreed

Moto dual horn is so fake glad I didn't spend the money.
