People who say Minis are crap have surely not seen the videos of them taking out supercars at the Nurburgring. Say what you want about them but these things can be tuned for good power and crazy raw grip.

I’m making a claimed 270whp in colder plugs, eBay turbo, and a eBay intercooler. All that and a tune and my mod costs are about 1700usd or so. I would have went for 300 but my car was at 199,000 miles at the time. I currently sit at about 219,560. Sort of wish I had pushed it a little further but it’s my only running vehicle currently.
@@Phil33 yes currently at 240,000 miles. Engine has never been opened. Not even for a timing chain. I did change a valve cover gasket at 200k. It does need valve seals as they smoke after idling. But that’s it. Still is going. I’d like to eventually do a timing chain, valve cleaning, and valve seals. But we will see. I also have the factory clutch in the car from brand new.

I’ve actually and I hate to say it, treated this car very poorly by not doing proper maintances and service intervals. I change the oil every 7k, when I went through a rough patch i changed it at 20k twice. No catch can either.
106 degrees after 6 minutes. What's the point in putting 28k into a car that cannot drive near its limit? No chance this has been set up for the track, owner would have sorted the heat soak.

Looking at yours 100-200 time's file, I guess how can a fiesta with 300hp sign 10.xx sec while this savage mini only showed a 14 sec run. Someone can explain that?
Almost €30k spent but it aint no worth it. For that money you can buy Focus ST or Megane RS and use it as daily if need be. I will never understand people spending so much to tune up their average cars.
I only have wheel spin. So there is to much horsepower. And the ratios are very short. I think that is the reason for the 100 to 200 but when there is a tuned mini it will not stay close to my mini at all.
@@kiddiefleur it's the torque, not the horsepower that makes the wheels spin. 420 nm isn't much and the ratios arent that short. My r56 can pull 100-200 only in 4th gear at around 12 sec. It's not even fully setup yet. Oh it runs "only" a hybrid. The setup looks like it looses a lot of torque in the high rpm.
I have a e90 330d 231 with decat and remap 310hp/650nm . 194 000km no problems, it pulls really good and the ride is really comfy. I bought it for less than 8k
I have a Peugeot 308 GT as my rental car... steering wheel is kinda small, but it accelerates well enough for normal traffic driving. Sport mode definitely increases standard RPM rate, and steering stiffens noticeably with much better acceleration. It is comfortable to drive, but it does not impress me if you were to review it as a "performance" vehicle. Great for regular driving, though. Pretty quiet at freeway speeds, too.
@@Mr.Alpineee easy dude. A good hybrid turbo with all the mods (Intercooler, full exhaust, pod, bov and maybe a boost controller to hold that pressure where it should be) and you are done. Depending on the tuner and the engine's health you may have to forge it, but here in Greece we've seen many 207s brake 10s with stock internals and they handle aggressive driving. It really is all about the tuner and the mechanic.
Mini coops are crap 💩. Putting turbos and tuning it will just make it even more crappier but I don’t care about mini coops. So go head. Abuse this junk. It would end up in the garage anyways. Even if it was stock. Lol. I forgot to mention, mini coops are ugly as hell in Terms of design.

They commonly go on R56s and come loose, most likely the owner has not got round to replacing it with a better one.

Thermostat is ECU controlled, temp can be lowered easy with just a tune.

Ι have a Peugeot 207 with 300hp (full exhaust) and the 100-200 time is way lower than this. So, exhaust is a must and maybe an external wastegate.
