Brilliant video explaining about Sandplay and how Sandplay supports Neural integration in the brain. It also explains how Sandplay helps the individual individuate as a person, and how engagement in Sandplay can change how you live your life.

Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo si bien construite. Je trouve les explications sur le jeu de sable et l'approche junguienne très claires. Très belle illustration aussi de la puissance du jeu de sable sur le plan neurologique. Merci encore !

I do get the therapeutic attributes in sand. But I work with kids.
I imagine all these figures to be rather confusing than helpful to the kids. Especially hyperactive kids.
I imagine being a child and entering that room.
I would be tempted to touch all of them and I find it very difficult to "decide" which one to pick.
Can you please tell me more about the process of the "selection"?
    What happens at that point?
What draws kids to certain figures
and how do they deal with the overload of the presented choices!?

Not a profesional, but im pretty sure they allow the children to take more than one of them? Once i saw a therapist that made a video and gave an example of how children work with sand therapy and it was "Ma'am, im gonna need all of these for my tray!" as the child had their hands full, i guess as long as they fit in the tray they let them have them

It might work in a therapy setting but it doesn't work in a daycare or Kindergarden.
Especially children that have an issue with impulse control and prioritizing their choices will be tempted to create a chaos or destroy toys and figures.
In a sense it is a good thing to give them space and room to create chaos but it can also take away from the productive verbal and non verbal exchange that is necessary in this method.
Most videos about sand play are very vage (about the selection process)!
Especially in explaining what the figures mean etc.
      Thanks anyway

What is the sand box is very damaged and warped and there is no more blue paint at the bottom? Does it still work?

    • @marie-louisevanheerden6823
      @marie-louisevanheerden6823 6 років тому +2

The sandbox being blue is just a guideline, the blue can represent water, like an ocean or a river it is not a necessity though, the process is not realient on the color of the box. If you don't have a wooden box that is neat you should rather use a other container. You could use a plastice containter that is smaller, a cat litterbox (new) can work well.

The piano play is too loud and too distracting from this otherwise wonderful interview.
