    Had a 2008 LC 200 , absolute beast had it for 14 yrs. Extreme comfort/V8 Power.
    Traded for 2018 LX 570, evrything just step better.. Comfort, Ride and Handling. Put on Sport Mode , sprints faster acceleration . Drove to Montreal- Ontario- Maine then back to NYC… just wanted to keep going. No stress/ fatigue. Dream Trip will be East- West Coast and back… Just need to rack up vacation time for it. LX 570 all the way over the LX 600.

    I also have a 2019 with 64k miles now, and yours looks absolutely fantastic for 80k miles! No one gets these until you drive it every day and everything just keeps working flawlessly. On top of that its the most comfortable interior I've ever been in. Been on several 1,000+ mile road trips with no fatigue or discomfort. Mileage sucks, but that is the only compromise in these amazing machines.

    The land cruiser 200 series is the greatest vehicle ever built. That is not a cliché or an overstatement. It is the only car that will last for 25 years with only fluids being changed. The 200 series is the last true V8, and will always be sought after an end demand. I own one and will never sell it. Thanks for your video and enjoy your LX.

      You know , I never thought of it being one of the last true V8s offered by Toyota/Lexus. Maybe I should park it in heated storage , not drive it and sell it in 10 years 💰
      I’m still thoroughly impressed with everything about this rig. You really can’t go wrong with Lexus or Toyota.

    I have a 2020 that I got 8 months ago. I traded a 2021 GX. My honest opinion. I plan on keeping mine forever. It's an incredible vehicle. I have had what I thought where exceptional vehicles, 7 series, 2500 Ram limited GX 2021. The LX is just ridiculously fantastic. True fact! It's the only $100k vehicle that imitates a $500k RR woft going down the road. No other car will do it other than a phantom or cullin. LX 570 does.

      Once you go LX you don’t go back. I dread renting a vehicle for trips. Last one I rented was a brand spanking new rav4. When I merged on the highway I thought a window was cracked due to wind noise. Had to check the switches multiple times throughout the trip , it was funny.

    I bought a used 2019 LX with 28,000 miles on it a year ago , now have 42,000 miles . Love the ride and quiet cabin . But what i don't like about it is the lack of storage compartments . I had a 2016 Honda Pilot that had great storage compartments , At least 3 times the storage as the Lexus . Wish the second row seats would fold flat like my pilot . and when there are 3 people in the second row you can't make adjustments to A/C , heater etc. .... But I love the ride and comfort ...

      What are your thought on the LX600?

Only thing I don’t think I’ll like is the complexity of the new TT v6 engine. I’m pretty hands on when it comes to repairs and maintenance , so not really sure if I’d like something so intricate and unfamiliar.

    That rubber mat you had goes forward right behind the second row. It compliments the cargo tray that you didn't get. I always replace the carpet mats with all weather mats. I have the 2017 model of this, great car, though I feel the previous gen the 2014 was less delicate.
    Another reviewer claimed that when you close the doors on the 2014 it was like a bank vault, and I agree.

    • @glengoodwin7860
      @glengoodwin7860  6 місяців тому +1

      Yeah , I’m just wondering why I got such a mix of mats ! My 09 had the 3rd row floor mat and rubber cargo mat , but this one has rubber mats and a carpeted cargo mat with no carpeted front mats !
      I will say , the doors do feel a little lighter and not as crispy when you shut them compared the my 09 Lx. I’d assume Lexus made the sheet metal a tad thinner for better gas mileage and to make up for the weight all the tech updates added. Idk , I really didn’t notice until you said something and I started to pay attention to door closing and opening 😂

    A white pearl 2017 with 80,000 miles as well. I have every option you have except I don’t have the phone charger and I also had a 200 series and a 100 series. I’m gonna be honest I absolutely love all of the upgrades, but I do feel like it’s lesser quality stuff. For instance, the front seats the leather doesn’t feel as good as the 100 series for sure. Just the touches and feel the door when I slammed the door. It feels cheaper than it used to in my 200 series overall the right quality is way better but that’s to me just because it’s newer newer suspension parts. I did feel like the earlier 200 series my 2010 needed some suspension work, but overall it was way more floater or softer although this is just a perfect ride it has no negatives. It’s just perfect. I also noticed when you hit 65 I don’t feel that lowering effect that I feel on the 2010.

Not to mention, there's been a handful of engine rebuilds in the LX 600 with only 20k miles on them. I believe the 200 / 570 will go down as being the best generation Toyota built.

      I wouldn’t be concerned about mileage as much as condition and maintenance history. Make an account on lexusdrivers.com and you can run any Lexus vin on that website and see it’s service/maintenance history at any Lexus dealer. That should give you a good idea about service history. Main thing when looking for these is being aware of any corrosion issues. Even ones that are 5 years old can have pretty insane rust on the undercarriage that can be detrimental if owned long term. Good luck on your hunt for the perfect lx570. Take your time and you’ll find one that’s perfect for you 👌

      How many miles on the 2016 ? Usually I notice that type of behavior with an LX that has old dirty suspension fluid or it’s in sport mode. Another thing is tires , it’s super important to have a nice set of Michelins or something along those lines if you want a smooth ride. any vehicle is going to be jittery over broken pavement , but the Lx is a rather complex suspension system, 7k lbs , yet it can only dampen so much.

    I can’t decide between the LX & GX. I’m office is about to go remote & I want to upgrade because I can hit the road. The GX is better on gas but the LX is larger. They both great cars. It does boil down to gas mileage. Like the GX is a little better but will it make that huge of a difference? 🤔

    • @glengoodwin7860
      @glengoodwin7860  7 місяців тому +2

      The LX is far above the GX in many ways. Gas mileage shouldn’t be a concern unless you’re driving 20k miles a year , otherwise it’s gonna cost you a couple hundred more a year to run a LX oppose to a GX. In my opinion the LX is definitely worth the extra cost associated with the initial purchase as resale in the future is going to hold better. Lexus only made 3-4k units a year in the Lx platform and 16-32k GXs per year so the LX is definitely going to be more sought after as they age.
      Good luck on your purchase !
