A white pearl 2017 with 80,000 miles as well. I have every option you have except I don’t have the phone charger and I also had a 200 series and a 100 series. I’m gonna be honest I absolutely love all of the upgrades, but I do feel like it’s lesser quality stuff. For instance, the front seats the leather doesn’t feel as good as the 100 series for sure. Just the touches and feel the door when I slammed the door. It feels cheaper than it used to in my 200 series overall the right quality is way better but that’s to me just because it’s newer newer suspension parts. I did feel like the earlier 200 series my 2010 needed some suspension work, but overall it was way more floater or softer although this is just a perfect ride it has no negatives. It’s just perfect. I also noticed when you hit 65 I don’t feel that lowering effect that I feel on the 2010.
Yup , I agree. There’s things I miss about both my 03 and 08 LXs. But… this one definitely rides so much better and is far more comfortable. For me , it’s just newer and that feels good on long trips knowing things aren’t 15+ years old.
Excellent review, thanks. I have a '10 RX ultra prem and the styling of amenities are so similar to the LX. The LX is superior in every way tho. Not a fan of the new LX600 or GX550 designs, especially the interiors. Will be going for a '21 or older LX in my next upgrade for sure.
Thanks for the comment ! I drove a RX back in the day and I’ve got to agree. It’s very similar to the LX as far as amenities go , depending on year of course. I’m still daily driving this rig and plan to do another update video soon as I’ve put 10k miles on it in 6 months. Keep Lexus’n !
Great review! I agree on a lot of the points you made. I really hate the joystick. Seems like a downgrade versus the touchscreen. Not sure why Lexus thought the joystck was a good idea, other than that, everything else seems awesome!
Thanks ! I’ve got to agree on the joystick , it’s funky , but manageable. Looking forward to the lx600 in a couple years after I’ve get my moneys worth out of this rig 👍
I actually prefer the joystick over the touchscreen. The LX 600 interior actually feels like a step down in quality compared to the 570. Not to mention, there's been a handful of engine rebuilds in the LX 600 with only 20k miles on them. I believe the 200 / 570 will go down as being the best generation Toyota built.
I think the LX570 was the last generation that was still built in Japan and then imported right? And the LX600 is actually built in the US along with the tundras, sequoias and others. I wonder if that has anything to do with the change in quality and reliability 1:26
That car was so close to be perfect but 1-old screen, I rather touch screen and apple car play 2- fuel range 280 miles that terrible,3- fuel door mechanism and the door is on the passenger side , one of this day someone is going to still my Lexus.
Those are small gripes that one could get over eventually. Range after fill up is 330 miles in my case , but I’m not doing tons of city driving , maybe 30% city 70% highway.
Well… I bought it with the tint. Still to this day I’m 50/50 about keeping it. Got pulled over by law enforcement a couple times now. One officer measured and I believe it was 2.5%. But I could be wrong. It’s ceramic tint so easy to see out of.
Most definitely some errors throughout the video. I smoked a phatty about an hour earlier and just kinda winged anything I was unsure about. My friend pointed out I got climate concierge wrong lol. Totally winged that one 😂
I wouldn’t be concerned about mileage as much as condition and maintenance history. Make an account on lexusdrivers.com and you can run any Lexus vin on that website and see it’s service/maintenance history at any Lexus dealer. That should give you a good idea about service history. Main thing when looking for these is being aware of any corrosion issues. Even ones that are 5 years old can have pretty insane rust on the undercarriage that can be detrimental if owned long term. Good luck on your hunt for the perfect lx570. Take your time and you’ll find one that’s perfect for you 👌
How many miles on the 2016 ? Usually I notice that type of behavior with an LX that has old dirty suspension fluid or it’s in sport mode. Another thing is tires , it’s super important to have a nice set of Michelins or something along those lines if you want a smooth ride. any vehicle is going to be jittery over broken pavement , but the Lx is a rather complex suspension system, 7k lbs , yet it can only dampen so much.
I really like your tint. I am looking to get my front side windows matched to the OEM rears. Do you recall what percentage you chose for your fronts and what brand/line your tint is from?
I bought the vehicle with the tint already installed. I’m not sure what percent or brand the stuff is , but I do know the windshield is ceramic tint and the side windows are not. I cannot see out of the side windows at night , it’s very frustrating. If it was me , I’d pay the extra $ to go full ceramic tint all the way around for visibility and safety while driving at night.
Gas mileage is actually pretty good 16-17 average , but 70% of my driving is highway. On longer trips it can get 18mpg at 75mph. Also , I usually set cruise at 85mph on my highway cruises. Yes , always have ran premium in all my LXs
I’ve been so indecisive about the Sport package, which has the lower splitter on the front bumper and also that valance on the rear bumper versus a non-sport package beautiful truck I’m just trying to decide whether I go with the Sport package or non-Sport package. Also beautiful color atomic silver while I’m actually stuck between this color and the white. Let me know your thoughts.
Go with whatever makes you more happy and positive about the purchase ! Drive a bunch , haggle with dealers , run car fax reports. Do whatever it takes to make sure YOU’RE happy
Wayyyyyyy to much of a purist here. I hate aftermarket or non factory stuff. For me , I always thought it hurt resale value putting non factory equipment and aftermarket junk in a vehicle. It’s all preference though.
@@xwarped83 I’ve heard of this being an issue but mine doesn’t have any squeaks. The covers seem to fit in pretty tight. I’m sure Lexus cleaned up the issue in 18-19
I can’t decide between the LX & GX. I’m office is about to go remote & I want to upgrade because I can hit the road. The GX is better on gas but the LX is larger. They both great cars. It does boil down to gas mileage. Like the GX is a little better but will it make that huge of a difference? 🤔
The LX is far above the GX in many ways. Gas mileage shouldn’t be a concern unless you’re driving 20k miles a year , otherwise it’s gonna cost you a couple hundred more a year to run a LX oppose to a GX. In my opinion the LX is definitely worth the extra cost associated with the initial purchase as resale in the future is going to hold better. Lexus only made 3-4k units a year in the Lx platform and 16-32k GXs per year so the LX is definitely going to be more sought after as they age. Good luck on your purchase !
@@glengoodwin7860 thanks for the input. I’m like my parents; when I purchase this Lexus, I plan on driving it a lifetime. They both own a Lexus. It’s going to be an huge upgrade for me. 😂 I presently drive a 2004 Suzuki XL-7 which refuses to die (and I’m grateful for it) but with the potential too be able to work remotely and hit the road, I need something bigger. My first mind is LX. I probably should go with it.
Great video! I have a Tundra 5.7L V8 and I am getting ready to get a LX 570 now that the 2021's are coming off of their 3 year leases. Question for you are you using premium fuel or regular unleaded? This is a big debate on the LC/LX forums and its almost 50/50 what people do. What are your thoughts and what fuel do you use? Thanks.
Had a 2019 tundra years ago and couldn’t imagine going back to that truck after owning one of these. Hard to believe they have the same 5.7 engine as it’s so much more quiet and smooth. I do run premium fuel. The extra cost doesn’t bother me and I notice a slight increase in fuel economy and power ( very minimal ) but I’m at 5500k feet above sea level , so anything helps.
@@glengoodwin7860 The engine is more quiet because of the sound deadening not only in the body of the vehicle but in the engine bay. Lastly, the muffler is different on the LX/LC which muffles the sound.
@@glengoodwin7860 well in someways it’s not. It’s over built version. There is the San Antonio version that went in the tundra and Sequoia and then there is the version that is in Japan where the Land Cruiser and LX. If you look at them they look the same but when you look closer the Japanese version is over built so they are the same but they’re not. The Car Care Nut did a great video on if you’re interested.
It’s pretty simple - I bought a full sized memory foam mattress pad and fold it in half to make a nice little comfy area for sleeping. I get made fun of for not getting a hotel. But those same people that make fun of me still owe on their vehicles and won’t be retiring early. Lol. This mofo is paid off.
As in engine rattles ? Yes. The 5.7 is a very loud motor , it’s definitely got some cold start rattling and rattle in general. I owned a 2018 tundra with low mileage and this lx570 is much much quieter than that tundra 5.7 engine.
Coming back to this comment as I don’t think I understood your question. The answer is no. Absolutely no rattles of any kind from the interior pieces. The cabin is so quiet and isolated it makes for an amazing ride. I’ve been daily driving a 96 Jeep Cherokee for the last two weeks , and back into the LX570 today. What a difference 😂
That’s a really good question! I sold the other one because I needed a truck ( or atleast I thought I needed a truck ) turns out a Tacoma or truck rides absolutely terrible and I would much rather drive an LX. the old one had 160k on it when I sold it , definitely still running flawlessly.
Great question. I have the smaller I phone with a case and it fits but I highly doubt a bigger I phone would fit. I’m not a really big tech guy , so I have no idea what apple car play even is 🤣
@@glengoodwin7860 lol Apple Carplay is overhyped fluff. It's basically a screen that access your iphone apps i.e. music, whatsapp. It's a convoluted alternative to holding and using your phone while driving. Biggest gripe is volume controls on iphone are disabled i.e. can't control speaker volume, unlike a normal bluetooth audio connection. No video or screen mirror support.
Don’t be concerned about high mileage as much as maintenance and condition. When looking , miles of course are a thought , but maintenance and overall condition is definitely more important. I always look for rigs under 100k but 130k or so isn’t bad if maintained properly. I constantly see these LXs for sale with 3-400k miles on them.
Quiet at 90 mph and getting 7 mpg at that speed. You probably complain too about the gas mileage. I have a 2005 and I realize, it’s a big heavy suv and I get 13 mpg. Your other car must be a mustang where you drive everywhere at 120.
Getting some good comments these past couple days 😏 1. Gas mileage is probably around 12-13 mpg at 90. You know since the engine is at 2100rpms at 90mph 2. I Don’t complain about gas mileage at all as it’s not a concern for me. thanks for your concern , though. 3. Other car ? Nope. Never owned a mustang or sports car. On a side note , 05 is a good year. I owned an 03lx470. Not really sure what I got for mpgs. Maybe 15. The lx470 was definitely more nimble. Just as quiet and smooth as an lx570.
I’m guessing you like chrome. I really could do without the chrome on my LX. IT MIGHT BE OUTDATED BUT RELIABILITY IS AWESOME. This vehicle is good for a few hundred thousand miles if properly maintained and not going crazy. Try to do that with any other vehicle in the market right now!!!!
100% legal here in Colorado. But, when I went back to Michigan for the holidays I definitely got mean mugged by a couple police officers as it’s highly illegal there. Super surprised I didn’t get pulled over.

Awesome vid! Been looking at these
Good luck with your hunt !
@@glengoodwin7860 Nice! Love the way hte LX600 looks but still very similar to the LX570.
Great points bro.
Thanks 🙏
I had my windshield tinted and I love the ride it could do with more horsepower.
beautiful.
Thank you!
We have an 11’ and it’s been a great rig. Audio system is just getting completely dated. Really needs CarPlay.
‘11 is a good year ! I looked at a couple years ago 👌
Looks great do you know what percentage tint you have on windshield, front, back?
Well… I bought it with the tint. Still to this day I’m 50/50 about keeping it. Got pulled over by law enforcement a couple times now. One officer measured and I believe it was 2.5%. But I could be wrong. It’s ceramic tint so easy to see out of.
A few incorrect descriptions of some of the options/buttons but all in all very informative
Most definitely some errors throughout the video. I smoked a phatty about an hour earlier and just kinda winged anything I was unsure about. My friend pointed out I got climate concierge wrong lol. Totally winged that one 😂
Totally considering getting myself one trying to find one with 40-60k miles. Any major maint items issues to keep an eye on?
I wouldn’t be concerned about mileage as much as condition and maintenance history. Make an account on lexusdrivers.com and you can run any Lexus vin on that website and see it’s service/maintenance history at any Lexus dealer. That should give you a good idea about service history. Main thing when looking for these is being aware of any corrosion issues. Even ones that are 5 years old can have pretty insane rust on the undercarriage that can be detrimental if owned long term. Good luck on your hunt for the perfect lx570. Take your time and you’ll find one that’s perfect for you 👌
@@glengoodwin7860 yeah for sure I’ll check the site out too. I’m in Colorado too so there are def some good options I’m finding in den Parker area.
This and the GX are the only SUV's id want!!!
Two great vehicles !
I have a 2018 I think I gotta start driving some more I only have 21k miles
Very impressive. I average that in a years timeframe. I put 30k on my 09 lx570 in like 9 months 😧
Love them so reliable my 98 LX470 has 76k miles
I would love to own an LX570.
If you make it a goal it’ll likely happen if it’s what you really want !
I test drove a 2016 LX, it felt big and ponderous, and the suspension was jittery over broken pavement. Maybe the 2019 is better?
How many miles on the 2016 ? Usually I notice that type of behavior with an LX that has old dirty suspension fluid or it’s in sport mode. Another thing is tires , it’s super important to have a nice set of Michelins or something along those lines if you want a smooth ride. any vehicle is going to be jittery over broken pavement , but the Lx is a rather complex suspension system, 7k lbs , yet it can only dampen so much.
How good is fuel economy in the city?
About 15 mpg in the city so far. Not bad considering the power, comfort and its 7000lb weight.
How is the MPG you get on this ? Does it take premium gas?
@@glengoodwin7860are you very happy?
@@charlesspinola969 very happy. I’ve been driving it all over Colorado , it’s a real pleasure to drive.
Stick some of the previous gen tundra rims on here for a smaller rim (18”). Trd off-road rims look sharp imho ❤
Wayyyyyyy to much of a purist here. I hate aftermarket or non factory stuff. For me , I always thought it hurt resale value putting non factory equipment and aftermarket junk in a vehicle. It’s all preference though.
Do your lug nut covers squeak as well?
I’m on my third as well. Had a 2004, then a 2014 and a 2017.
@@xwarped83 I’ve heard of this being an issue but mine doesn’t have any squeaks. The covers seem to fit in pretty tight. I’m sure Lexus cleaned up the issue in 18-19
How bright are those jewel headlights at night????
Super bright even with the windshield tint , I can still see very clearly at night
@@SuperSnakePlissken right. Still hard to believe its the same engine.
How much does a ‘19 LX with about 80k miles cost?
I would like to see how you sleep in there show me your set up
It’s pretty simple - I bought a full sized memory foam mattress pad and fold it in half to make a nice little comfy area for sleeping. I get made fun of for not getting a hotel. But those same people that make fun of me still owe on their vehicles and won’t be retiring early. Lol. This mofo is paid off.
Any rattles?
Hi, we would like to sponsor CarPlay upgrade kit for your LX570. How can I contact you?
I’m all set ! Thank you though
Why did you sell the old one? Did the high mileage make you uncomfortable? I’m looking for a used one in the 2010-2017 range with the V8.
That’s a really good question! I sold the other one because I needed a truck ( or atleast I thought I needed a truck ) turns out a Tacoma or truck rides absolutely terrible and I would much rather drive an LX. the old one had 160k on it when I sold it , definitely still running flawlessly.
What size iPhone can you put in the wireless charger? will a Max or Plus have any issues charging? thoughts on adding CarPlay?
Great question. I have the smaller I phone with a case and it fits but I highly doubt a bigger I phone would fit. I’m not a really big tech guy , so I have no idea what apple car play even is 🤣
@@glengoodwin7860 yikes. CarPlay is a game changer, far better than the factory infotainment systems. makes the LX feel like a new car.
@@glengoodwin7860 I hear ya, CarPlay is a game changer though. it will make a huge difference in your LX, and make it feel new.
Hi guys! I want to buy the 2019 or 2020 model. Is there a disadvantage of high mileage or how high mileage can be at most?
Don’t be concerned about high mileage as much as maintenance and condition. When looking , miles of course are a thought , but maintenance and overall condition is definitely more important. I always look for rigs under 100k but 130k or so isn’t bad if maintained properly. I constantly see these LXs for sale with 3-400k miles on them.
Built bullet proof. Would love to get one.
Absolutely bullet proof tanks
How much do u buy it ?
@@Liliana-l6h $53.5k. Land Rover dealership in Denver.
Whats a good price for a 2019 63k miles in 2024
I’ve got this one listed for sale right now for $55k , it currently has 88k on it.
What made you decide to sell? Seems like in the video and your comments/replies this was your dream vehicle?
Does this LX have Android Auto?
Nope !
Quiet at 90 mph and getting 7 mpg at that speed. You probably complain too about the gas mileage. I have a 2005 and I realize, it’s a big heavy suv and I get 13 mpg. Your other car must be a mustang where you drive everywhere at 120.
Getting some good comments these past couple days 😏
1. Gas mileage is probably around 12-13 mpg at 90. You know since the engine is at 2100rpms at 90mph
THIS IS KIA SEQUILA UPGRADE? 😮
Ha !
No ashtray?
I know , right ! I guess I’ll just have to snuff my cigs out on the wood grain shifter bezel then throw them in the cup holder 😂
Love chrome ! Wish it had more chrome 👍
Plastidip to any color that tickles your fancy.
The interface is horrific on this lol. Love my LX after 4 years but it’s a pita using that mouse while driving.
Man , I like it ! Try adjusting the sensitivity of the mouse , it really helped me with getting used to it.
I'll bet none of the aftermarket windshield/side window tint is legal in any state.
100% legal here in Colorado. But, when I went back to Michigan for the holidays I definitely got mean mugged by a couple police officers as it’s highly illegal there. Super surprised I didn’t get pulled over.
Pre covid
Yup !
LC100 is a better overall vehicle
I actually agree. My 03 lx felt more solid. But I will say this one drives way better and of course is newer with all the tech stuff. More comfortable as well.

Grandma bought a brand new 2021 LX570, so she gave me her old LX470.... I think the LX470 rides better than the new one... it gives that floaty ride when it's on comfort mode.. the LX570 is too sporty...
Fantastic review! 👍
