This is probably the best Peri Peri sauce recipe I have seen. Most other recipes online leave the sauce pretty incomplete for the sake of callling it quick and easy.
Gotta try this one! I'm sure it's full of flavor! Made me hungry just watching!
Happy to see how quickly this channel is growing! Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much. Im so grateful to everyone that has supported me so far and for years to come! It's greatly appreciated.
Makes total sense to cook the rawness out of the bell pepper and to also infuse all the flavors during the simmering process. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
thank you for really clear instructions with no faff. appreciate it.
Simply love how you do things and this sauce
I never heard of this sauce . Although I have prepared delicious pepper sauces , I must give this one a try because ALL of your recipes are spot on and easy to follow. Thanks!
Made this tonight (medium) and the whole family loved it. Thanks bud !
That’s awesome to hear! Glad you all enjoyed it 😊
I love grilled Nandos style chicken, homemade is best.
Point of correction, Mozambique is in Southern Africa. Recipe already existed in Munomutapa Empire long before Portuguese settlers, they only perfected it and bottled it for sell. Thats why Nandos doesn't do so well in Moz, its best done at home using all sorts of meats, not just chicken. My favourite are giant prawns, the best grill in Beira 😋
Are u from Moçambique? 😆 I am surprised it goes well with all sorts of meat.
Wow! Great to know.
So what's the original recipe ? Is he close to it ? Or can you share your recipe too please ?
I had to scroll through comments before giving one. Thanks for the correction of origin of peri-peri sauce
Maybe I’m mistaken, but I thought chile peppers came from the New World.
If that’s accurate, how did any sort of Piri-Piri exist in Africa before the arrival of the Portuguese?
Thank you! I'm making it for this Saturday's grill.
Dude, I just made this and it was awesome. I added Palermo peppers as well. Can't wait to grill with it.
I asked for it. You made it. Thank you! Really fantastic vid. I am making it and definitely saving the video. Simply superb. I can't wait for you to use this sauce in your next video.

I'm so surprised I didn't come across this sooner!!! I've been searching for this for ages. Coming from you, I know it's gonna be great! Thanks, Jack.
What a coincidence! Yesterday I had this sauce on a sandwich, minus the heat for Uruguayans don't eat hot stuff, and I didn't know what it was. Your video appeared this morning so now I know and I have the recipe. What luck?!! It looks great. Thanks so much. Saludos desde Montevideo, Uruguay.
These recipes are good to watch because they are on our level, given a Gordon Ramsey book the ingredients where impossible so I gently place it my wood burner until cooked ! 👍🇬🇧
Haha thank you 😊
Thanks I’m giving this one a try for sure. 😋

Thanks for the recipe!
It’s a pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it
I just made this for the family evening meal, and it really does taste fanatastic, I am using some of the sauce to marinade the chicken thighs and then what's left I add a little sugar and use it as a dipping sauce, paired with portuguese rice (tomato / onion / garlic) - hoping for a perfect combo. Thank you for taking the time for sharing
are you using the cooked sauce for a marinade or the raw ingredients?
@@redwoodtrees7068 Hey, I am using the heated up remainder of the sauce with sugar as a sauce so you have a little extra to dip the chicken in or simply pour over the chicken - it was fabulous
@@jackcameback what I mean is, are you cooking it and then using the cooled down cooked sauce to marinate it or are you using raw uncooked sauce to marinate it?
@@redwoodtrees7068 Ah ok, understood the raw sauce to marinade and the remainder cooked for the dip
@@jackcameback thanks:)
Top work again mate. Clear, concise and looks spot on.
Thank you very much! Im glad you enjoyed it. 😁

Nailed it again Jack. Nice job.
As a chef its a really well done video!! Im trying it right now i grilled my bell pepper first though
Awesome! Grilling them really enhances the flavour giving them that smoky note 👌
Loving this recipe so far mate. My attempt is just simmering as I type.. I have high hopes for the result. Thanks for that one,
That’s fantastic to hear! How did you go with the final product? 😊
@@ChefJackOvens In mine and my son's opinion, excellent. I say that because the wife tried it and, although she loved the taste, it was way too hot for her and won't be having any more (Good news for me and the lad). Funnily enough, I'm having it for tea shortly with chicken and rice. Looking forward to it too.
Hi Chef Jack, I can't wait to try your recipe for Peri Peri. What can I substitute for the chillis if I can't find these specific ones? And, what brand of immersion blender you were using? Thank you!
Will follow you very simple & easy to follow. Thanks
Top G! Love this video!
I never heard about this sauce until now, looks delicious 😌
Nando's?
As long as you don’t compare to the Portuguese piri piri that’s fine because this recipe’peri peri’ isn’t Portuguese.
Awesome, thank you! Subscribed :)
First time ever I have all the ingredients. Thank you. I make my own scotch bonnet pepper sauce and everyone I've given loves it. I'm happy to see another person understands the importance of home made pepper sauce as it cost a lot in the shops.
Try Enco Carolina' Reaper. I haven't been able to identify why it tastes so amazing. If you can, please share the recipe as we eat it a lot. Thanks. 🙏👌😊
Good explanation. Cheers from The Netherlands!
You’re very welcome! Many thanks from Australia!
Good work mate, I will try it. Thanks
Awesome! Keep up the good work. Greatings from Austria
Thank you very much! Greetings from Australia!
Thank you for the recipe. It looks amazing. What chilies would you recommend for a mild sauce? Would adding jalapeno chilies change the flavor?

Hi Jack, thank you so much for this absolutely perfect recipe! I made the sauce and baked the chicken in the marination. It was just wow!! Can you please share the recipe of peri peri wild herb sauce as well?
Great video and easier to make than my own peri peri, I make mine by roasting the vegetables first before blending and then add butter instead of the oil
Bunty1962…have you made this? If so, do you think roasting first is better?
@@suecoelho467 Yes I got the recipe from a Chef in a local restaurant and he said to ensure roasting because it intensifies the flavours.
Just made your sauce today and cooked Peri-peri 🍗 for dinner 😋😋😋
Thank you very much for the recipe just made it now now .. its real yummy .. taste better than bottle 1
Great to hear! Thank you 🙏

Super presentation. Nice commentary and you made it look so simple. Excellent work !!

Hi! Finally a recipe I can do!… just one question, can I freeze jars for longer shelf life or can I keep in cellar cantina over winter? Curious of storage duration in these conditions?
You can definitely freeze it 😁
Reminds me of bosnian "Ajvar". Looks very tasty!

Great recipe!
Glad you liked it.
I made this in October, and well, a message to all my far Northern hemisphere friends: wait until the summer to get fresh and high quality chili peppers otherwise it will taste like olive oil, vinegar, and bell pepper. I was however manage to salvage it by turning it into a pan sauce with lots of butter.
that looks amazing. Can you make recipies for students? easy and cheap? i would love to cook more exiting foods!
I am in the process of writing out a whole lot of cheap, quick and easy meals for that early morning start or on the run snack!
