It's hard to believe the original F-Zero was a SNES launch title, was the fastest racing game at the time and had crazy graphics for 1990 in a home console. Probably my favorite racing game of all time. I love the White Land, Sand Ocean, and Fire Field themes.
Silence made me wanna learn to play the bass, and made me discover 70's Japanese jazz fusion. F-Zero was the second game I got for the SNES after the bundled SMW back in 1992
Back in the day there was absolutely nothing subtle about how exciting these graphics were, this was prime top tier intensity that blew everything else of the times clear away.

I was blown away by this game. So good. I couldn't stop playing it. And the music. A launch title that was ahead of its time.
And one of the best.
"Silence," "Port Town," and "Select Time Theme" hit different. I'm feeling nostalgic for this, despite the game being almost 20 years older than me.

I would’ve expected more comments. This game was my life for like a whole year way back when.
That and Mario Kart. So many hours competing with friends for the lowest times, so many lines with recorded times in draft books, so many farts
Aaaaahhh, "Mute City"...!!!! It gives me goosebumps!!! And "Sand Ocean" might be one of my big favorite electronic avant-jazz theme of all-time...!
