We did Extra Magic Hours at Epcot twice in the past few years and got in most if not all the rides in the two hour period with no to very little wait. Best to do Remy’s at the end of the two hour period.
As someone who uses the DAS entrance, we don’t load in the same area as standby. There is a separate vehicle loading area. And from what we can tell, it doesn’t slow down the standby that much. Maybe 30 seconds to a minute depending on the ride. HM is a big one that comes to a complete halt for wheelchair users. Most omnimovers just slow down to a crawl.
You can’t say that Epcot is not good and not worth doing during extended evening hours, when you and Casey are the ones who waited 50 minutes for Remy, when you didn’t have to and you both could have went to other rides…
This. These video bloggers are so cringy.
If you are rope dropping for an after hours, and you run directly to the most popular rides, it is going to be packed.
Around the same time you were at Frozen, and thought it was so amazing, the same was true for Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. For after hours, Eat and relax first or hit non popular rides.
Don’t stay at a deluxe resort just to get the extra hours…..but if you’re staying at a deluxe resort because you want to, then the extra hours benefit is a bonus and well worth attending. Last December we had a Rise walk on and it was awesome.
wish we had deluxe after Hours a studios again
many Deluxe Stayers are DVC members or resalers of it. We (and all DVCérs) are paying an annual due thats included transportation and maintance. The extra benefits we get now are the extended hours for Deluxe resorts
Rise is a walk-on if you rope drop. You don’t need extra hours for it.
@@AngelaStewart-fu5tc rope drop is great, but the point of my comment was don’t stay at a deluxe resort solely to get extended park hours, that would be foolish. But…..if you choose to stay at a deluxe you might as well take advantage of this perk. You could rope drop and use the extra evening time.
I think you guys didn’t do this right. Never do Remy first, don’t stop for fireworks especially if you seen them before, & read up on available routes to walk ahead of time or ask a cast member. Also, as a person who has to use DAS we don’t hold the lines up too much and the cast members do a great job of staggering DAS guest who aren’t able to transfer to the ride vehicle. Typically if you have to transfer to a specialized ride vehicle you have to wait longer as there aren’t as many. This is also true for the skyliner.
They stopped you there so you could enjoy the giant screws longer. 😂😂
Kyle: You’re not thinking! It’s July 4th holiday week-weekend. People took vacation time off from Thursday to Wednesday and the kids are out of school. Busy season for the parks next few months for summer. Epcot extra hours would be worth it during slow season with more walk on’s. There is other things to do than get up early to see the same rides over and over again. Can you please consider staying at the Hilton by Disney Springs, it had a million dollar makeover .
Kyle, I started watching your videos in august, I see you are spending money because you’re channel is doing so well
Hopefully you’re
not just spending
You were saving for a home. Now your going on more cruises, buying cameras and weekly stay vacations
Just hope you’re well grounded and somewhat ready to deal what the real world may throw at you
Take care
hey thanks! Don't worry my finances are thought threw well :)
Alot of them he doesn't pay for
@@KylePalIo”threw” ?
I remember like 5 years ago during regular evening EMH at EPCOT everything was a walk-on. Those lines with just Deluxe guests is crazy.
I love extra hours. Remi went from 85 min. To 15. Went on 4 different rides and shopped in 2 extra hours. Coming back end of July, doing it again. Swim in the morning, rides at night. Magic kingdom is 3 hours I think. We rode mine ride twice, thunder rail road twice, space mountain, buzz, pirates, jungle cruise closes early though. Magic kingdom the better of the two.
From an attractions CM: majorly DAS, previous lightning lane throughout the day that are redeeming late and have a deluxe resort reservation, or Club 33 guests
Thanks, you rock!
As the mom of a child with special needs, I want to thank CMs like you for helping me arrange DAS. It was instrumental in allowing my son to have a magical Disney vacation.
Yes! Thank you for this vlog. My family and I are staying at the Poly in July, and yes, I plan on taking advantage of Epcot’s extended hours.
That new camera is amazing! Thank you for this vlog.
Back in 08-09 when we did extended hours at MK we got to ride until 1 am! I get workers are ready to go home but it was nice that late
That new camera is amazing! I could definitely tell with the fireworks!! I love when people go the extra step to make sure they are putting out the best product. It's appreciated.
Thanks for this video... Headed to Beach Club Mar '24 and checking out Monday afternoon but was considering extending the stay a day to have Monday evening at Epcot but happy I didn't extend it now.
I really enjoyed extended hours at MK. Last year I got to ride big thunder twice or three times around with out even getting off and back in line!! When I went on pirates I walked right on and me and my sister had a boat to our selves. It was so cool!!
The new camera has got some amazing quality! The new videos have looked awesome!
THANKS! adjusted some settings so its even better now
I was born and raised in Hillsborough county so I've seen many empty Disney parks. Many years back and I sure do miss them.
I've done MK extra hours for deluxe resort guests a few times and that has always been well worth it! Although we also could have done the Epcot extra hours, we always felt it wouldn't be worth it, so have skipped. I know they tested it in april of 2021 at HS and I'm so bummed they didn't continue it. I feel like MK and HS would be the best 2 parks to have the extra hours at. I have another trip in October and it's LONG at 12 nights. We'll be staying dlx so will have multiple opportunities to try them out again.
Like the new camera.. amazing colors. Yes the extended hours for deluxe hotels are great.
Lightning Lane was probably open for DAS pass.
New camera is a game changer. Thanks for the quality content.
This is epically bad planning for evening hours. You needed to start AWAY from the fireworks. Soaring first (with 3 theatres and no LL it eats the queue so quickly ), then test track, then head to world showcase…
We are staying deluxe in December and plan on doing both deluxe evening hours.
We dd MK and Epcot when we stayed at Contemporary. It was nice.
We had a similar experience when we did Epcot extended hours back in February 2022. We got in Remy’s line about an hour after park close and it still had a 40 minute wait (and probably took almost the entire time). It was an adult trip with just my husband and I, but if we would’ve had our son, we would’ve been able to take advantage of DAS. With only having 2 hours, it just takes too much out of your limited time in my opinion. Only reason we waited was because it was our first time riding.
You can use your Das pass during after hours that’s most Likely why people went through the lighting lane
I remember I used to take my little map and we would cross off every ride on the list lol😊 The fireworks are beautiful no matter how many times you see them . Love Rat such a cute ride ❤Night time is fun especially at Epcot with the countries. If I was there more in the day into the evening I wouldn't mind not sure if Id go just for a few rides
the lighting and colors are really great in your video! And also- we always stay Deluxe and we love our Extended Hours when they are in the evenings. The mornings, not so much. Once our kids got to be teenagers, we started sleeping in and 8am is just too early! (Although I'm usually up at 7am for Genie +. Sigh.) The Extended Hours are not a factor in whether or not we stay deluxe though.
We just got back from our trip and did the paid extended hours at Epcot and that was totally worth it. We did guardians 3 times, remy, soarin, & frozen 🙂
Us too! Plus waters, popcorn, and ice cream!
We look forward to this one day, we’ll have to keep watching Kyle to learn more!
The day and time of the year you go is a HUGE factor. They went during a really busy time so it makes sense rent would go from max wait down to 50.
This is interesting, as we are planning to take advantage of extra hours in August when we next visit. Thanks for covering.
Skip it! Get some sleep fight another dayyyy
I have no problem waiting in long lines. Which is good because I can’t afford to pay extra to skip them 😂
OKW is booked for next May! Heck yes we're doing extra hours in Epcot and MK👍 Casey...you don't have to ride Soarin if you don't want to.😊
We just did Epcot Extended Evening hours last Monday - we got a 6 pm virtual queue - overall we had a great time. 🎉 After we rode Frozen, we weren’t able to walk around the counties towards Germany- we had to walk the other way to ride Ratatouille -
Thanks for your videos- we watch every day!
That is awesome!
The new camera seems to be working out well for you; nice. If and when im able to take a WDW vacation, I'd love to stay in a Deluxe for the extended hours, just for the sake of convenience. I'm curious whether, if you had asked a cast member (politely, for informational purposes), they'd have explained why people were going through the lightning lane. I could see taking advantage of the extended hours at Epcot once, but i don't think it's something I'd do multiple times with only some rides being open. If the World Showcase were all going with some cool after- dark shows, it would be a different story, but c'est la vie. Empty parks are nice in their way, but I've always liked people watching when on vacation at somewhere like Disney; especially seeing people's faces if it's their first visit (or first visit in awhile). Still, thanks for bringing us all along with you and Casey on another fun excursion!
I wish they did extended evening hours at HS. We are staying deluxe in August and will take advantage of both MK and Epcot to try it out. Thanks for all you do, your videos are helpful, we watch every day!
We went to HS a week ago 1.5 hours before close. Rise, Runaway were walk ons after 8. Slinky was 20 min. Everyone was watching Fantasmic, so the lines were so short!
Love ya Kyle...but can't believe you let Casey leave alone, after she was worried & said I don't remember where I parked., especially at night. ..such a safety concern & you left her to drown. She was not smiling, nor amused. You just dug yourself in a hole. Good luck getting yourself out. SMH
What lens are you using for 4K? There is quite a bit of noise. Are you shooting at f2.8? Check your ISO settings. The 4K is nice but the quality is actually less than the earlier videos at 1080. Love the content!
DAS guests I believe still tap into the lightening lane even during extended hours.
Still wish they'd bring back IllumiNations
I went to Epcot during extended hours and it was not worth it. It felt I had only one hour to ride the rides because the day guest where still in the line for Remy, Guardians, and Frozen.
we did extended hours before and were able to do Remy's with zero wait. We got right back on with mice waiting.
Hi from Ohio. Do you think extended hours might be more worth it at another time of year? My husband and I are coming down in early October ( kids still in school) and the evening hours did influence our decision on where to stay. What do you think?
What brand are Casey’s belt bags?
Is fragment a walk on
At these events you can use the lightening lanes for DAS passes and rider swap. So it is less than volume then during normal park hours. Looks like you went to a busier Extended Evening hours event
You ended up mentioning it b4 getting on Remy, but yes, people going through LL were DAS. Also, keep in mind DAS still have to wait the posted wait time, they just do so outside the traditional line. So I dont think they were slowing the regular line down that much. Gotta do those smaller rides then the bigger ones at the VERY end of the night so you're waiting in line after park close. 😉 We cant wait to take advantage of this in October!
A few years back all resorts could go to late night parks. I went to magic kingdom and there was no one there. It was great
We were escorted out of EPCOT once. We had a late night dinner at LeCellier and were the very last 4 people out of the park. We had our own van to get back to our resort.
We were there 2 Mondays ago and I say worth the deluxe stay. We did learn that lightening lane is still on during extended deluxe hours. So you could buy lightening lane for the day, rope drop, take mid day off, and then come back at night and fly thru the rides. That is different than the separate entry after-hours events where there is no lighting lanes.
We asked some cast members and also learned no one has to leave during deluxe hours. You just can't ride the rides. Hubby and I talked about coming back for extra hours on another vacation and just enjoying the empty park and getting tons of night time photo pass pics with spaceship earth.
Seems the wiser move would have been to do the Future World rides first and let the fireworks crowds filter out of World Showcase, then enter that area toward the end of the evening.
What new camera did you get?
lighting lane during after hours is used only for das holders.
We had exactly the same experience as you, rope drop beats 2 evening EMH in Epcot. Anytime in a Disney Park is fun but also need some sleep time! 😂
I'd love to know which of your cameras you used on this one. This looks amazing in the dark compared to mine! And for Remy, I've always experienced longer than posted waits. That line just doesn't move compared to all of the other attractions.
Going to be doing after hours at MK on Aug 2. Great way to kick off our first full day of our 2 weeks at WDW!
Going for one day in September and just confirmed MK magic hrs are a go for us
We had the same experience as you twice at Epcot for extended evening hours. Pretty frustrating.
Lightning Lane is for the those who have specific needs. Not sure how it fully works though but you do end up getting a number of people going through that line.
Keep the virtual queue its great to get a free option for bypassing the line.
I’ve done the extended hours before and I think it depends on the night plus with the heat in Florida right now, maybe more people are taking advantage of the extended hours. Although I wish it was three hours not two!
Same thing happened to us. LOL! We now know to leave Remi for the last ten minutes.
I don't know if I missed it but why were people going lightning lane in Remy if they don't have it for extended hours???
das pass figured out
Would love to see you do a video on the paid extended evening hours. It's an hour longer and includes snacks and bottled beverages. Just as a comparison
It's TOTALLY worth it. We did it earlier this month and rode Guardians 3 times in a row.
Frozen, Remy , and Test Track all stay 50 minutes during Extended Evening Hours. Because the queues are all filled with regular guests until 9pm, you're really only getting an extra hour. On top of that you have to miss fireworks as they overlap with park close. Sadly, the extended evening hours kind of suck at Epcot.
Thanks for the disney content. I waited 3 hours in the que for oogie.boogie in California and was one of the lucky people to get a ticket today.
This reminds me of extend park hours for hotel guests back in 2019 and I rode test track and walked around world showcase
We always stay at the Epcot resorts - BCV or BWV - so the late night is worth it for us. I don't think I would do it if we stayed elsewhere.
Different shirt in ur thumbnail than the video again for the 2nd straight day
People with DAS can use LL still. Also you need a Poly Club Level stay. ❤
I am going this week and I am planning on doing Extended Hours at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. I think because of the rides and crowds, the one I'm thinking will be worth it is Magic Kingdom . If I do Remy, it will be at the end of the night because of staying on the Boardwalk and you have to go around and cannot go through the World Showcase.
good morning!!
I love Epcot
We did 2 rides during our epcot after hours, it did not feel worth it to us. Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom after hours were awesome though!
Those extra hours are probably more beneficial for those of us that don't get down there very often but after a long day in the park most are ready for bed. Lol. Old lady talking. Haha. 🎶🎉🌻🌞😎
New camera? The picture looks good.
I’ve done extended evening for both Epcot and MK. MK is better as there are more rides to absorb people where everything but Mine Train was a walk on.
Not sure about your complaints
It was awful this past Monday. We left an hour in after our Guardians got called and the line was out of the door. There had to have been “day” queue people still in line since they had only called 9 groups. But, this is what happens when you allow everybody who got called to go at the end of the night. We did it last summer and walked right on during extended evening when our queue was called. Extended evening at Epcot definitely not worth it.
I was there.. Epcot wasn’t worth it but the Magic Kingdom evening hours we did this week WAS FIRE 🔥
Remy is a wait regardless! We rope dropped last time & still had to wait 45 minutes and that was in early FebruaryI thought the queue would never end! We are getting Genie+ for Epcot this time!
DAS can use the lightening lane on after hours
I did this but me and my family did Remy's ride first you get a vitrual for gurdians at night with all we did we almost got on ever ride expect for frozen you have to do the ride super early and then do the other ones that you want so my advice is the first ride you should go on at the park early in the morning is Remy's
Do a solo ride on soarin. You ride figment with Casey every time!❤
We will be there on Nov. 26 and my 10 year old grandson said he will hold your hand on Soarin. He wants you to ride it.
Thank you for all the Disney World vlogs recently. Going in less than 60 days - just made my Akershus reservation this morning, and I really appreciate all the info/testing/insights!
ahh have fun there, really enjoyed that one
If you’re already planning to stay at a deluxe resort and going to the park anyway, then the additional few hours are a great bonus. I’m not sure that most people that want to take advantage of this just go for the 2 hours alone and try to make it worthwhile. I wouldn’t book a deluxe resort simply for the two hour addition. Then again, I wouldn’t book up to club level just to eat some snacks in the lounge. Most guests will probably be at the parks all day anyway so you’re spending $200 per person for a breakfast that would probably be better and cheaper at most any other location.
I might do this
How come Casey won’t try soarin? Is she afraid of heights?
As for the survey, I’m returning to WDW after 45 years!! (in August)
I’ll be staying this trip at Shades of Green this trip, but I know they get included in at least some of the “Deluxe” perks. If I can enjoy the EMHs, I’d prefer MK. It’s all I know first hand…. 😂
Love the vlogs!
def do mk dont do Epcot rope drop or deluxe Feel its not worth it
@@KylePalIo Agreed. I’m trying the 4 parks/4 Tickets, NO Park reservations promo they have going…. also NO park hop! So I’ll probably get my fill of EPCOT before lunch, which will be at the German Pavilion, and take the entire afternoon!
FAHRVERGNÜGEN!!!
staying at boarwalk end of july and using EEE in epcot!
BUT we probably won't be riding Remy during that time, I would rather use the time to re-ride other attractions and just enjoy the ambiance and get some food
We did extended hours in Jan and had a great experience. Hardly any wait for Remy, or anything else. :)
I would still do Extra evening hours at EPCOT if I’m staying at a deluxe resort because it’s free and because I love walking they the parks when they aren’t so busy. Also EPCOT is just so beautiful at night.🥰
Whether it’s Magic Kingdom, after hours or Epcot after hours, I think it would be worth it if some of the quick services for food were open as well
We did frozen, then had to walk backwards so did fiesta , then soarin, then remy and finished with space ship earth , I thought it was worth it ! Casey I don’t blame you , Keith hates soarin and will never do it again ! I’m more than happy to go on my own and I accept he doesn’t want to do it! I wish they had @ few eateries open !
I did extra hours once at Epcot and I only got on 2 rides Frozen and Test Track and I felt rushed to do that. MK much better experience
I agree, just not much at Epcot for lines to move fast
You and Casey should have gone straight to Remy's during the fireworks when people stop to watch it, the line would have been shorter. Going to Remy's when the fireworks ended is when many others are also heading to the ride.
Hey what did the guy say at the 8:30 mark? Or am i the only one that seen that awkward moment?
He said "Hey, are you a UA-camr?" then grab his junk. Looks like Kyle saw him in his camera and Casey turned around to respond. I've seen UA-camrs at Epcot at night get heckled a lot.
I LOATHE LOATHE LOATHE ROPE DROP!Extended hours definitely the way to go . Remy's is so oddly placed that ,unless you're using the skyliner, just totally not worth it . We did both extended hours and the night time party?? at Epcot earlier this month. The party thing although there was a charge was EXTREMELY worth it ..we rode Guardians 3 times in a row plus all the other rides with virtually no wait. I love the extended hours..less kids and definitely less heat!
