As someone who suffers from depression and has dealt with suicidal thoughts, this is a song that immediately made me cry upon hearing it for the first time and I had no idea why. Songs like this one, "Cradled In Love", and "Sleep" can be heard as harmless songs but also ones dealing with depression, suicide, or simply letting go/losing someone/yourself. And that's why this song had a strong impact on me, because it makes me think that this is a song to all of those who are struggling, that there will always be people to hold you up and get you through to the next day.

"Sleep" is the one that gets to me when I'm having a bad day and NEED to cry it out and can't. I just turn on that song and it all comes out.

I carry out myself like normal day to day but deep inside in the back of my mind I knew I'm alone, empty and depressed. Life will never goes like you planned and hoped for and you will get beat down from time to time. I even thought of suicide even for a brief seconds of my life. For those out there, keep on living as life is precious.
I truly, honestly, deeply love this band. I feel like people use the word love way too loosely these days, but I truly feel this peace and happiness when I listen to them that can be nothing but true love. Please never stop making music. You are incredible.

I hear Poets over so many years and buyed all albums from that great band. But always two songs let me thinking so deep. One is this great one and the other is "Late Goodbye". I'm a historian and it occurs to me that Marko is as close as we will ever come to hearing the supposedly sublime voices of the castrati who could sing in the higher register as well as any soprano but with more range and strength. And I wonder if castrati started in imitation of someone with as much natural talent as Marko

Well... Their sound is kinda niche in today's market where most people only want provocative MVs, poppy electronic dance track (I still question if it is even real music), boy bands to salivate over and butts.
I feel that this is what real music should be like!

There aren't many songs that invoke such solemn yet happy emotions. It damn near brings me to tears. Children of the Sun is such a phenomenal song and its easily one of my favorite softer songs from Poets of the Fall. Marko always puts so much emotion into his work and honestly I'm here for it ♥️♥️♥️ Keep up the awesome work, you guys!
