@@mdnght0095 it was originally 11-12lbs but for them it was 13-14 a big difference in an eating comp. next chipmunk rule was being turned on and off at his bidding

Honestly, they should have weighed the tray before and after. It’s the only real way to know. Unfortunate that it comes to that, but better to be aware than ignorant. The owner should have to certify exact meal weight.
Next time I stopped off in g-town I'm going to stop in there and ask him and show him this clip

I just looked this challenge up and found that back in 2011/2012, when it launched, it was only 6.5lbs. And as recently as Jan 2019 it was only around 8.5/9lbs. Quite a difference compared to 8 months later.
They also went out of business a few years ago.
Too many people were probably able to eat it in an hour so they kept changing it to make it more difficult.
@@getin3949 Increasing the difficulty to make it more challenging is fine, but that guy really should've been more transparent just in general about it instead of resorting to those sneaky tactics.

The owner was clearly discontent with the whole thing. Jeez. Too many of these places have no set food weight or consistency with their challenges.
I don't understand people like that... If you are not a good sport... Don't set challenges.
Otherwise you just look like a dick ALL THE TIME.
Also it is pretty disrespectful to make a challenge and not wanting someone to beat it. If you are so mad at being beaten, shouldn't do a f-ing challenge to begin with.

Was a good try Darrien, honestly blew my mind that it kept growing a pound every 7 min. 11 pounds, 12, 13 then before your both done, Oh yeah it was 14.
Damn guy running the contest needs to get his shit straight. But good run at it from both of you, especially when I've seen 3 people fail to eat half that amount.

Bring a scale for these heavy challenges to be sure the owners don t mess up with the portions
The lesson learned today: always bring a scale to food eating challenges. Do not take the word of a dirty owner who intentionally serves nasty poutine that no one would eat.

Wtf? At first the owner was just saying "get it in." Then when that was done and they were about to beat the record it was "get it in, get it down." Stop changing the rules, man.
Yeah, plus he probably put 15 pounds of food on there and told them it was 12. And he told them to clean the plate.
Reality is, unless it was a professional competition, most restaurant owners wouldn't even require them to eat the crumbs because they're usually astounded by guys like this just being able to eat the bulk of the food, they don't care about cold, soggy crumbs.
The owners are just fat assholes.
Ah, the old ever inflating poutine. That went from 11lbs to 14lbs during the challenge. They seemed to make up the rules as they went along. Still, you lads got it all down so it looks like your hand job was extremely effective and resulted in a happy ending.

This challenge was hilarious! Darien's expressions were priceless. From Africa and that there would be a meal for a whole village.

Ah yes, let's make minimal profits on a meal that took up 90% of our kitchens cooking capacity, which, by the way in turn rendered a 90% profit loss seeing as no other food could be made at that time. This is a food eating challenge not a sale day at Walmart LOL

I think Darrien was more annoyed at the person officiating as he kept changing the rules, yeah alright beard did have a slow start. But come on 13-14lb and when it was meant to weigh less, then at the end he is saying "come on get it in your mouth" they did just that and expecting him to stop the timer but then he is telling the lads to swallow. I can't blame Darrien for being annoyed, beard didn't look too happy neither. Well done to you both anyway though 👍

They don't have portion control for the contest, from what was said they are doing it by guessing based on what it looks like it weighs and that's a terrible practice for these kinds of foods because every contestant gets a different challenge.

That owner was so annoying and unprofessional. If i did that challenge and he changed to saying 13-14lbs mid way through and i ended up not finishing it, i’d leave without paying anyways.

Awesome win. It really sucks when places add that much weight to the plate though.
Adam was clearly peeved by the shekainery of the owner adding 2 extra pounds to the challenge and then saying "just get it in" and then wanting to see the food swallowed. Changing the game during the game is BS. They clearly had the win with 3 or 4 seconds but the owner blocked the win. Needed to go faster in the front end.

This is like 20 dollars worth of burgers and 30 dollars worth of chips at best. Such a con to price it at 100 dollars, say it's free if you finish, then pile on so many chips it's borderline impossible for most people. And man is that switcheroo from 12 to 14 pounds scummy.

Poutine is illegal in the EU because the cheese curds are raw cheese (it is the cheese making stage before you press the cheese in the familiar round wheel cheese form after witch is it ripen for 8 to 50 weeks, depending on what kind of cheese you want. )
Lesson learned today: stop talking and start eating if you want to break a record.
