I ate shit hard the very first ride at the track at the beginning of the season this year. I was trying to clear the plateau on a step up and I had hit it going quite a bit faster. I know I had to have had my weight a little bit too far to the back of the bike and when I hit the jump I went into instant air wheelie. I tried throwing my weight forward and hitting my back brake, but I couldn't get the front end down fast enough so I hung on as long as I could and I got to about what seemed like 3 ft above the landing and I let go my bike and I went into a very violent roll all the way down the landing. My friend who I went riding with is actually a nurse and he watched the entire thing. When he came over to me, he didn't ask what was broken, he asked what IS broken lol. Luckily all I had was a couple bruises and that's it. What saved my ass was me letting go of my bike when I did and not falling on my legs and falling more on my side and landing in a roll. If I would have landed straight on my legs, I would definitely broke both my legs. Everything just happened perfectly for me not to get hurt. It's just crazy how you can react so fast in some situations without even having time to think.
He's okay. If it was a double. It might have knocked him out table tops are your friend tho lol
