My favorite way of running tags is running two of them (especially double Uhlans) and my brother runs a tag as essentially a large distraction piece so while his enemy is investing in killing it he does the objectives.
I feel like another point to mention of tag use is caise you have such extreme mobility with a tag the idea of pushing forwards and backwards so you come oit utilise your shooting then retreat to your established defences especially turn 1. The follow up to this imo is apart from some very specific examples like the sphinx taga generally want to be setting up your specialists or closer ranged attacking options cause hackers and warbands are much more likely to be hanging out in the midfied than in/ just in front of your dz

That is a varient of a double uhlan list I took to a tournament and won with updated for post fireteam changes last year

Absolutely. I should have touch on more the mobility of tags and that clearing paths and retreating is a solid way to use them

Max offsets a lot of the weaknesses identified.
Melee tags, max included does stop the melee and smoke nonsense. Which is always a big load off your back.
