I know this is an older video. But I agree their weakest point is the latch and the button. For such a sturdy cage it’s a shame they can’t maybe put a bearing or something on-the hinge. On my 12 pro max the hinge was so loose that when I walked it would make a notice noise. They replaced it and it did the same thing. They did add some better rubber on the 13 pro max but the whole hinge design needs to be redesigned. Additionally if you happen to drop the cage without a hole in it the door always gets tweaked and you have to bend it back to shape. I bought a smallrig 72” tripod which is a disappointment as well. The top neck will not stay tight. I want to get into lenses next but even after watching the reviews abd tutorials I feel like the people are trying to sound smarter than me lol. I just want to get a better image. I don’t know that anamorphic lens are necessary for what in currently doing. I’d like to figure out a good telephoto lens that would utilize: the bayonet mounts. I don’t really like the idea of the clip on ones. I mainly do vlog style but I am trying to get ready to make a video memoir of my F’d up life.

I’ve been researching what setup I’d like to start my own channel with my iPhone 13 Pro Max for about 4 months now & really don’t want to invest in something that I’m not happy with only to spend my limited funds on something else. I truly appreciate your in-depth analysis and detailed descriptions for all your components.
Thank you very much for sharing reviews of all these devices; I have a question that only you can solve. For iphone 13 pro: 1) Can I use this SmallRig with Shiftcam lenses? , 2) Which gives better stability when recording video, the shiftcam progrip or this smallrig?
Great review and I definitely will be looking to upgrade to the iphone 13 when I can, but right now I'm pretty happy with my iphone 12 smallrig cage. I prefer the heaviness of it because there are times I have dropped my phone and definitely protected it.
thanks for the video 👍 i had last years smallrig cage for the 12pro max & had to send it back because of the inside rubber situation but this years 13 pro max cage is tons better & with the added ability for moment lenses to be mounted unlocks the phones potential to another level & with the cold shoe mounts make it a very accessory able tool! only downside is the wide open space on the rear which may over time attract scratches but ive stuck a clear film over mine to hopefully stop this & ive got a nice skin on order - just hope it all fits with the skin on!

Picked this up recently but there's so much mic hiss/white noise and lowers my voice. Any way to fix this for live streaming? I have a Galaxy S20

Make sure you swipe away or kill the camera app and it will work
@@TechinfluenceTV It worked after I changed the orientation on the Moment lens. Apparently, the orientation can change from camera to camera. Thanks
