And even better they essentially get into this exact same scenario in season 6 only Shigrski’s muuuch stronger but Aizawa still won’t give him an inch.

This man deserves a “#1 dad” or “UA’s greatest dad” written on a coffee mug.
At first I hated the guy than the USJ happened even when he was bloody, beat down and broken he still fought on and gave his all to protect them so I realized that's when I realized what Aizawa was at his core.
People think Aizawa is just lazy but you don’t know how many times he cared for the students and protected them. Aizawa just doesn’t want to show his soft side
the moment when Aizawa protected Tsuyu while being beaten up by the nomu is I think personally is when the fans began to realize what sort of character he is and how far is is willing to go for them

He is best dad absolutely. He acts like he doesn't care but the second his students are in trouble he will do absolutely everything he possibly can to protect them. This is why he's one of my favourite pro heroes. He seems harsh but really he's doing the best he can to make absolutely sure his students are prepared for the real world of heroing and don't take stupid risks that'll get them killed. If they can't survive a high school hero course how can they possibly expect to survive as a hero against villains who will murk them the first chance they get?
