Borth to Aberystwyth - Wales Coast Path - Ceredigion - Stage 2

- Jan and Don continue their Welsh Coast odyssey. After surviving the map-less post-storm conditions of Machynlleth to Borth, this time they take on the cliffs of the north Ceredigion coast to get to Aberystwyth.
Starting from Borth Station and taking in the war memorial they tackle windy undulations, discover lime kilns at Wallog and Sarn Gynfelyn, the glacial moraine. With the weather looking threatening there’s no time to stop at Clarach Bay for slush puppies, or ride the conveniently placed Aberystwyth cliff railway. That said, it’s really all about racing to town to defeat Sunday bakery closing times.
Don has a date with Mr Pharmacist and Jan encounters street jazz.
you inspired me last year. I did Borth to Aberareon over 3 days.
Wow Luana that is good going, congratulations, I hope the weather was good. We should be back out hoping to complete Aberystwyth to Fishguard sometime this year (I'm in training for it now, hoping the leg will hold out).
Love Borth very much because Borth brings me back wonderful memories in my childhood days on holiday in 1986 and 1987 because I have wonderful memories of my niece which I look back with fondness and joy.
Hi Kirsty, glad you enjoyed. It is a special place for Jan and I too - great memories of visiting Borth and Ynyslas in the 80's. We hadn't been back for decades until we filmed there. We will get back out there in better weather and do a pub crawl along its length some day. Fond memories of staying on a site in Llanrhystud back in the 80's, where a newspaper van would circulate honking its horn, and you'd have to chase it to buy one.
hi
Hello! Hope you are enjoying the videos. Don
@@jananddongetout Hello friend. I really enjoy your videos, they are very relaxing. I'm moving to Wales soon and I can't wait to explore the beautiful wilderness
That’s great news, we’ve got two Wales videos coming up, and we hope to be back out there in May. Wales is a fantastic place. Don
