In the future you will also be available to just buy the RCR Pro frame for 2500€, which is going to be a killer deal. Given how cheap you can get the very soon to be replaced SRAM Red groupset atm, you can build a top 7kg bike for around 5k€ .
They had a rather large stall at the Shanghai bike show... Makes me wonder if alot of the bikes will be sold in China and due to the large market there... It may mean not too many bikes will available in other regions.
Oh how did you find out about Shanghai? Did you go to the show? I need to find some more videos on it if you know of any..? I don’t know how Decathlon works in Asias and whether they have fulfillment/storage but they are obviously huge in Europe
Yep@@thewattlifeI was at the show. They had multiple stalls on the bike and pretty sure they had a gravel bike on show too. Joe from China Cycling has a 4 part series on UA-cam covering the show...
Amazing, id LOVE to go to the Shanghai bike show. Ive watched Joe's video- i didnt realise that Van Rysel has such a big presence there. I imagine they are ordering a LOT of frames from Xiamen though so it makes sense.
The VR RCR looks the spitting image of my S-Works SL7....in fact they are an identical copy......So I have to say I agree with Paris, not overly impressive, lol.
What do you think of the rcr rival in white, I haven’t seen many videos showing it, I’m curious how heavy it would be in size small, also you thoughts of the white colour? Thanks
I think it was about 7.7kg in the white with the rival. This also comes with a quark power meter. I liked the white- looks good with the dual coloured top tube. But the black RCR’s caught my attention more with the tan wall tyres.
The step up from £5.5 to 9k just doesn't seem worth it. I'd say it seems like a nice bike but not really any better value than a canyon on discount. Even the frame only would be close to 5K AUD.
Yeah seems like a big one. I think for value the Force /Ultegra seem like the best option- with power meter. Still a good weight bike. Even swapping an aftermarket bar (which you don’t need to) would be more economical
Dude, it is so dangerous filming and talking into a camera that is hand held leaving one hand on the handle bars to steer. Just put a bracket on your handle bar with the phone in it and pointing at you. You can talk to it and control your bike more safely. As for filming the ride itself. Do what I do, and mount a camera on your helmet. I have a Contour which has been going for years with a 130 degree view without being a fish eye lens. But I believe Go Pro is the most popular option, either helmet mounted or on your chest. Much safer for you and your fellow riders.
I was born in the 80’s- health and safety wasn’t a thing. I don’t mind filming with one hand but I do understand it has its drawbacks backs. I have a front mount with a 2nd camera under it which I’ll use for chain gang rides as I won’t film one handed doing that
Isn't Decathlon doing exactly the same as you did with your T1550, just on a huge scale? I get everyone doesn't want to build a bike themselves, but it shows how overpriced big brands are!
These bikes are going to sell really well given their price and the components they are paired with. The RCR with Sram Force and power meter is 5,500. This is maybe £1,000 more than my T1550 but you get a localised retailer to deal with any problems you might have. Decathlon doesnt feel like a bike store- it seems like its a very big company which could afford to put money into developing this bike and has an already established network to act as distributor. Theyve done well with the RCR and not least because of Ben O'Conner
If Ben O’conner wasn’t smashing races on it then it might be easier to agree- but they seem to have done something right!!! Oodles of money seems to have gone into the design/creation
@@thewattlife indeed. From his own view, the swiss side wheels seem to be half the answer, they really geeked out on aerodynamics, rim / tyre interface and so on. The frame can't be materially different from peers, starting with the fact it really, really looks like an sl7.
The 9k is the replica for the Tour team so I guess while it’s expensive it has to be in line with the quality of the rest of the teams so the price kinda makes sense. The RCR with a Sram Force is good value- but saying that, I know you could build an equally good bike yourself for the same price with a 1 piece bar

This is true. i know that they didnt have any Replica frames in stock in Decathlon. Selling like hot cakes.
Sram RED coming out next week apparently
are you talking 5k€ with frame? or without, just curious of the components and costs
@@Ggosciu 2500€ frame, 1500€ groupset, 1000-1500€ wheels, 500€ rest.
The Frenchman Valentin Paret-Peintre has just won today's stage of the Giro on a VR bike.....kudos to him it was a superb ride.

How dare she not be impressed. That is a race winning bike. Maybe I'm biased because I have an SL7.
I’ve only just realised the resemblance. 👀

I currently own the Canyon aeroad (slx 7) and its on the heavier side. Could you tell me the supposed weight of the RCR pro bike c(force/ultegra di2)?
The RCR Pro with Ultegra/Force is 7.2kg.
7.7 for the RCR Rival.
6.7 RCR Pro Replica
✌🏻
@@thewattlife I think am about to hit the button on the RCR Pro. It looks so darn amazing. Just a little confused on the sizing

*small might weigh fractionally less
VR amazing bike 🔥🔥🤤🤤🤤🙏
Just seen Dave Arthur has a review coming soon
What happened to the Enve Melee? Thought that was Paris's new bike?
The EnVe was a partnership for last summer and went back. Paris now rides for Bianchi so has an Oltre and an Aria.

*starts riding 25c. Fronts and 28c. Rear
I look on with jealousy from Australia with regards to bikes. If it is 5,500 quid there, it is $12,000 in Aus.
I listen to the Nero show and it seems like cyclists have a tough time over there with kit
@@thewattlife Our decathlon stores look nothing like that. Very jealous.
@dantuber I think this is actually a new one and the only one in the UK you can go and buy a Van Rysel. *I think
