  • They steal handbags, open cars and have no respect for humans. The last baboons of the Table Mountain region have become a real plague.
The resident population is split into sympathetic protectors and fierce opponents. The animals are deliberately run over by cars, shot and poisoned. The days of the last baboons at the Cape seem to be numbered.
According to scientists the baboons have to relearn that humans are a threat in order to survive. Thus a special force has been recruited from the townships: the „Baboon Police“. Day and night the „officers“ follow the marauding baboon troops trying to chase away the monkeys with slingshots, sticks and whips.
The documentary follows the „Baboon Police“ and their marauding monkey clans. Is there still a chance for humans and baboons to live in peaceful neighbourhood?

The most amazing thing to me is this: "they will see the shot coming and will duck it."

If the baboons and penguins and other wild factions would organize and syndicate. They could run their own Mafia and bump off the human gang!🤣🤣

I always wonder why they put those huge tracking devices around their necks or their legs or whatever I would think that would be a safety hazard for them. Another animal could easily grab one to it why don’t they put a tracker inside of them like under their skin or something that would make much more sense.

Root of the problem are the urban planners who did not consider what the population will be faced with.

The baboon gang owns the land. The human gang is encroaching in their territory.

Seems to me that the only way to keep a healthy ecosystem in the park there would be by re introducing the natural predators there

All these animals want is FOOD but,but I can see were that can become a problem so what can we do about this problem...I suggest put out leftover food in one designated place so that they can come to that spot and eat....I'm jus saying I don't live there so I can't imagine what the Helllll to do...but,but something must be done 👍

Cull. Why would they forage for food when they can take it, steal it or get it. Just cull them all. They won't relocate because they prefer to get their food from a human environment.

The humans will eventually make it nearly impossible for the baboons to procreate.

Tourists impose and invade the lions habitat by walking through their only space and the lions suffer for people's ignorance. in the baboon case people are suffering because of these pushy bullies called baboons.

I understand both sides. If I had to eat leaves and bugs, I would want a steak or dessert for sure. Plus, people moved into their neighborhood.
The other side, Get out of my house!
The only frustration I feel is there are many non lethal things you could use to run the monkeys off. They need a second amendment so they can shoot a pop gun without people crying about it.
