Overall a good solid truck! Can’t wait to see this project roll forward.
Awesome truck
I can remember the days of the toe heel start. It takes talent in the winter to toe, heel, and choke.
Great too have you back Gibson always learning when i watch your videos👊🏼
Sweet truck. Love those.
Well hell yeah Mr Gibson! Glad to see you back at it on that Apache. Looking forward to see what you do
Awesome truck. Your videos are among my favorites on UA-cam. Keep up the good work on the cool trucks! 🇺🇸👍
Awesome!!!!! Excited to see this one......
Oh thank God! Great to see a new project! Looks to be in really great shape too. Find a 292 for it.
….Hey Man !!…….Real glad to see you're back in action......Your videos are the best !!
“Alright, here we go!” - the most wonderful words in all of UA-cam. Can’t wait for some “cuttin’, weldin’ ‘n carryin’ on”. I’m ready for you to “do a number on it”. Along with everyone else, I’m starvin’ for some time in the coolest one-car garage on the planet.
If this truck ends up just half as good as your previous resto's then it's going to be a winner.....your workmanship is just amazing.
That is a nice one.
love that truck, I had a 57, now I have a 63
Love your videos please keep them coming. I’m going make a rat rod out of my 1966 C10 short bed with big back window. I got it back in the early 80’s you and your videos have helped me a lot thank you Sir.
So cool seeing these old beasts getting fired up
Great truck man! Funny enough our 64 c10 was originally a very similar color green, and was repainted like yours. I ended up finding the original paint code (and a distributor to get me the paint). It helped with repainting/ touch up big time. Hit me up if you'd like a resource for that.
Right on man! Always look forward to your projects! My 64 stepside is in hibernation state now until I get back I learn from you brother. Thank you and God bless!
Looking forward to watching you transform it. Still working on my 64' C10 doing metal work now.
I’m currently working on my c10 1969 I just got it started up after 13 years
Hope you do a full restore. Love watching your videos!
I just got my hands on 59 Apache just like the one in this video!!! Same color too! Needs a lot of work but I’m excited about it!!!!
Great looking project. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
Glad to see you at it again. Really enjoyed your other videos. Very informative. Thank you!
Can't wait to watch the progress , I'm rebuilding a 1952 Chevy short bed , I have learned a lot watching your videos
Watching this makes me realize how much I need my own garage
Nice. Reminds me of when I got my 55short bed truck started for first time in 2000. Restored to factory condition over a 6year part time working on it. Same 235 6cyl. Three. On tree. Have had lot of fun driving to shows. I’m sure you will enjoy. Working on it. Motor. Is easy working. On. Keep posting videos. Congrat s
I still remember the old 1959 Chevy Apache half ton we had on the dairy. Dad and my uncle got it used. It was dad's everyday driver until the 80s ( then he got a 63 gmc step aside with a 305 v6). I hauled a lot of cattle with it. The first time I drove it on the road, I was 10. You have a beautiful project. I'm excited to watch.
Look forward to watching this project. Tell your brother to just leave you the check book and just do her up. Lol. Catch ya next time
I was looking at videos yesterday and thought to myself that I'd really like to see more from you, and here you are! I'm excited to watch another build. Keep it up!
Looking forward to the next instalment, I have a '57' half ton and these are really helpful for my rolling restoration project
been watching and learning as I have a 58 with some big rust issue getting parts together then will start repair watching you videos thanks man keep up the good work
Aw that is cool! Going to be great to see you in the garage again.
Can't wait to see what you do with this, I am currently working on my 59' and I have already learned tons from your other videos.
Nice truck! Looking forward to seeing another project. Still working on my son's 62. Your videos have been a huge help and motivation for us.
Hey man, good to see you back. I have a 58 Apache too! I’ll be watching what you do.
That’s a nice truck! Love the heel-toe start action. ;) Looking forward to this build. Always enjoy to see new videos coming up on this channel.
Right there with everybody else. Love your videos and working on a 59' myself. Hope your brother wants to really work it over. Keep up the good work brother!
Awesome ! Easy work for you
Nice to see you back at another truck in need. That appears to be a pedal start? Not sure I have ever seen one like that.
Yeah when I first went to crank it up I forgot it was a pedal start myself
Excellent project. That is my favorite year of Chevy truck.
Wish you were my brother! Awesome job as always. You are an inspiration man!
Good to see you back at it, Doug! Looking forward to more videos in this series!
That 235 is a great little engine.
Geat to see you back with a new project love these old trucks and the work you do on them
Love it!! Can't wait to see what u do with it.
Hello Gibson its good to see you back and working on a new project missed all the great videos that you were producing.
Boy, what a pretty old girl you got there. Sounds good too. Wish we could find trucks like that in Maine. Rust belt extreme. Enjoy her, and thanks for sharing and to your brother.
Thanks for watching man
Sweet truck, thanks for sharing. A neighbor around the corner has one just like it except in white and I always admire it when I pass by.
If it were me I'd just fix the rust and the dent in the pass. fender while keeping as much of the existing paint intact as possible. I'd probably get some flat gray or oxide red colored epoxy sealer and just leave the repairs "primed" (just using a sealer rather than actual primer for better longevity). And of course replace the bed and any mechanical items needed to make it a reliable driver. I'd probably keep the smooth running inline six. My parents had a '53 Chevy 3100 five window pickup with that motor and they're great engines. Although I might be tempted to hop it up a little just for fun. This seems like a nice "survivor" truck that would be a solid driver with not much work. Just my two cents. But, no matter what you end up doing with the truck I'll look forward to seeing it!
Nope fix the little bit of rust and dents. Then repaint. Only way to preserve original metal!!
Good to see you again. Fun watching you get that ol' girl back into shape. Thanks for the video.
Dang that thing started up smoothly
You boys know how to find ‘em! I would like to find a straight ‘67-72 Ford F100 someday...
Best looking truck ever made in my opinion. Can't wait to see how pretty you make this one! Good luck!
Nice truck ,but don't forget to secure the battery before you cruise in it .
Looks like a great project truck. Hoping for many of your great video's
One of the best body styles GM produced.
Awesome truck!! Love it! Engine sounds good. Looks like a recent rebuild. I saw the speedo moving while it was running. Maybe why driveline is off. Work your magic dude!! Good to see you back
William Lane it's not a recent rebuild. It's an original truck.
If you mean the engine, I agree with ya.
@@adriantomlin2902 too clean for original. It's 60+ yrs old.
@@adriantomlin2902 yes, the engine.
I ve seen 60 year old original cars before!
Glad this man has another project. His skills, attention to detail, and workmanship is an art form from which everyone - in and out of the business, can learn....and appreciate.
Best,
CL Corrado
Great truck! Really hope you do a series on it. Will meet you one of these days at a local show.
That's a good runner. Be neat to see a split header with dual exhaust on it.
That's a sweet year 1959. Hell I'd keep the 235 in there. Runs like a champ. Regardless....look forward to seeing the progress on it. Cheers buddy.
Omg!!!!!
I am still working on my suspension lol.
Your new truck is a good choice

I have a feeling this will spiral out of control into a full restoration, or at least like the last one. "Just gonna do plugs... just gonna do a new gas tank... just gonna fix some rust... just gonna tear it all down and paint the frame, new suspension, the works!
Can't wait I'll enjoy watching the series.
She sounded pretty darn good, another interesting project.
