Great presentation, Marshal, Rhea and Hunter, thank you all very much. So, build it and they will come. Love the progress and initial migration in East Canyon. 1. What is the probability that the mink and other species will also migrate? 2. Years back I helped distribute some 50 millions seeds in the southern portion the Swanner Preserve. How is that developing and will that affect the introduction of beaver to the BDA's? DO you plan on planting cotton woods along the stream beds? 3. 100 BDA's in the next few years. Rhea, has Marshal determined where those 100 BDA's will be placed? A follow on comment and question....for those living on Old Ranch Road...Respectfully, I have four sump pumps on the lower portion of my property. These have never been active since there is no ground water seepage under my property for the seven years plus I have lived here. With regards to the deep aquafer and in essence, two water tables, what were and what are those levels then and now. With the 100 additional BDA's what anticipated changes to both the deep and shallow water tables can we expect? 4. In regards to the temperature changes due to the installation of the BDA's early on it was discussed that the resulting cooler waters would vary the population of the native and non-native fish species. Specifically, I thought we anticipated an increase in native fish and a decrease in non-native fish. The presentation did not seem to reflect those changes. Can we expect those types of changes in the future? 5. I notices in the summer of 2020 and February this year in 2021 that there have been a very noticeable over flight over the water shed in the Kimball Creek in front of my place. 6. With the increased water shed last year in 2020 my neighbors and I have noticed the presence of mosquitos. I there any studies or mitigation plans for mosquitos? R Len Starbeck
Great to see Eric Collier getting some credit for his work with beavers.
