Never talk to cops!”, which was told to me by a retired cop. His advice was aways ask for a lawyer, no matter what! You can always go from Not Guilty to Guilty, immediately, if you want. Not so easy to go from Guilty to Not Guilty. You always have the opportunity to tell your story at any time, showing remorse. When the Interrogator’s claim to want to help you, they are lying. They have many specific techniques to manipulate you. They can legally lie to you all they want. Their only goal is to close the case. They are not your friends. They will tell you that talking to them is the only way you can show you’re not a monster, or show remorse, acting like this will be your only time to explain your side. That is a lie in itself. Talk to a lawyer anytime they want to talk to you. Get up and leave, when they say you can. Them saying you must have something to hide or it makes you look guilty, if you obtain one. This is not true. Many times, polygraphs read false positives that say you’re lying, which is why they’re not admissible in court.
You have the right to a lawyer. Use it. If you’re arrested, you may request one when you’re booked into the jail, and talked to the judge, so you’ll have to stay at least one night in jail, but it’s just best to talk consult with a lawyer, so you fully understand your rights. Even if you’re innocent. There is a specific list of specific techniques, called the “Reid” technique, which is used to totally manipulate you to confess, whether guilty or not.
They will say, they have enough evidence to convict “right now”. That probably is a lie right there to
you. It’s because they need more evidence, or strengthen the case. Just remember, their goal is to close the case, and that’s all.

I wonder how long it would have taken for her to "move up" in her choice of knives and go for his throat. This old guy sure doesn't seem agile enough to get out of the way of a psycho with a big blade and he could easily have been the one killed, but it wouldn't have been a nearly instantaneous death like what ended her. It's profoundly unjust that he's going to die in prison while others (women and children) who murder often receive incredibly short sentences or even get probation. It's not mentioned here but he might have a criminal history that played into the sentence.

This is gold. Like an accounting system. Like if you owed me $50, and I owed u separately $25, they would cancel down, and at the end U would just owe me $25. So he did 40 yrs of crime on her, and she did let’s say 25 years of crimes total on him, so it cancels down and he only owes 15 years. Let’s goooo!

I saw my neighbor kill his wife when I was 13. He apparently had enough and shot her twice in his yard. He was found guilty and sentenced to prison. I can't recall the sentence, but it was academic. He was released after serving 5 years.

poor guy. Cops don't try to solve a crime, they just try to spin it into you being guilty so they get another notch regardless of the situation. He clearly had been trying to get her out. There are a lot of women and men that act exactly the way he described and they are professional manipulators. Seems like she leeched onto the guy and he couldn't shake her. Let the guy go free

He will not be behind bars in the strictest sense. He will become too expensive to house in a prison facility due to his age. He'll be too costly and demanding for a prison dispensary. He'll either be in a prison hospital pretty much in bed a lot or if he declines mentally quickly he'll be in an eldercare facility. This act is not rationale and appears as some symptom of dementia.
