I started sourcing vinyl records for FBA earlier this year but didn't get around to prepping, listing and shipping them until much later. This past week I finally got them packed up and sent them out to an Amazon warehouse. I also sent out over 80 CDs in time for more Christmas sales. Sales are very strong in December, which has me excited for the holidays in 2017 when I have even more in inventory.

Glad to see those vinyls going out. I still have close to 65 that I need to prep and ship. Thanks for sharing !
Finally got them out.
As we get close to the first long term storage fee without the one unit exemption, I'm finding that record FBA prices are dropping horribly. That's frustrating since I have hundreds of records in the fullfilment centers and have sold hundreds FBA. Even classic albums with great ranks are seeing FBA sellers dropping their prices to be below all other sellers, including MF. I'm talking early Springsteen and U2 and The Who and the Stones, even if the condition is Very Good. I use to sell all these for no less than $40 in Very Good condition and am seeing them for $7-11 FBA. People are going nuts about the upcoming ltsf. I suppose it's a good opportunity for someone who flips FBA to FBA to snatch those titles for under $12 and see if they can sell them back for $40 but I'm timid about investing that way until I see if this ridiculous pricing becomes the new norm.
Everyone watch out for those remasters or those new 180g releases. For MOST used vinyls you run across you probably have the original recording version in your hands so make sure the listing you're jumping on doesn't say anything about: 180 gram, remastered, import.
Unfortunately, I find that the original recording version listing is not selling very often like the 180g release. I'm also finding that eBay is a great place to sell vinyl, at least based on the sold vinyl I look up. Thanks for the tip.
glad your back.
I'm even more back now in the new year.
I miss you and your videos. You must be extremely busy with the kids. Any book sales lately? How did you do overall for the year? This was my first year FBA, now what about taxes?
I wish I could make more videos but now with all these new CDs and other products I hardly have time. The kids are always keeping me on my toes. I just looked at my gross sales and I am very pleased. I did just over 45k. I am going to try and double that this year. Taxes should be fun. Write off as much as you can.
I like learning from you
Thanks for tuning in.
you changed your name handle from BookBandit to Marshallbookman?
Hey man! Thanks for the vid I got the sleeves as well. Some fba listings are requesting them to be (boxed) have you experienced this and do i actually need to box them? There's so many lol
Hi, I haven't sold records on Amazon in several years so I'm not sure about any new requirements. I sell records on eBay now, and in my local monthly warehouse sale. Best of luck.
@@510Books ok, thanks for the reply!
Do you bubble wrap your CDs when you send them in....or just polybag? How do you handle scratches on CDs?
I only wrap CDs (in Seran wrap) if they are in the paper cases that open up easily or if it's a valuable CD. I put a transparent mailing sticker over the CD case where it opens if the case opens easily. If the CD surface has a scratch I will always test it. I rarely come across CDs that do not play or have an issue playing.
Book Bandit ... enjoy your videos because you give first level explanation and then details of some of your points. Very informative. Also, I am trying to get my FBA set up, ... I'm on hold till after the 19th (one of those). I can't seem to figure out how to, when ready to ship my products via UPS, apply the Amazon shipping discount to my shipment. Any idea how I can set up my UPS account so that happens automatically for me?

Thanks for watching my videos and congratulations on starting to do FBA. I believe that when you have your first shipment ready to go all you have to do is complete it and Amazon will deduct the amount from your account total or card on file. Did you figure it out?
Yes, thank you. I finally saw what I was supposed to do. :-). I have
made my first shipment (yea!), and I'm having difficulty with sourcing now. I'm confident I will improve in that area as I gain experience. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you for your excellent videos. I have subscribed to your channel. Much success to you and your business!
For books just scan a lot of nonfiction. Over time you will start to realize what is even worth scanning. There is some decent fiction but it tends to be faster selling in the $7-10 range. I recommend using FBAScan and a Bluetooth scanner for much faster scanning.
Thank 's for the recommendation. I now use both.
do you play each record to make sure there are no scratches in the records
I test play most of them unless the record surface looks perfect, which is rare.
what do u need in usa to get ungated im in the eu :/
No sure about that, sorry. Good luck.
Just wanted to let you know I'm unsubscribing from your channel because there have been no new videos.
Ron Thor Sorry to hear that. I just uploaded a new video.
