I feel like such a little jeb piece for avoiding all of this. Login issues sucked, but then I just screwed off when I got in and messed around with the new classes. By the time I decided to try the MSQ, I passed through both Aldynn clan instances like, "Wait, was that it?" Then I just got on my dark knight and have been enjoying instant queues ever since. In the end, it turns out this was all the result of DDoS attacks on the North American servers, so I guess the servers can actually hold up pretty well. Easily the most annoying part was the player reactions. Everyone having conspiracy theories that SE was actively refusing to fix it, "because of the money, it's always about the money." Idiots who think devs both have magic fixit wands and that they won't use them because of mysterious funds they would be cut off from if they did their jobs. We're going to need to put desalination plants in the rivers of The Fringes to get rid of all that salt.
pwnorbepwned i think its the lack of information that players recieve. when people have invested as much as they have to do something at a specific time, i can see why they would lose their shit. Understandably if se didnt know they were being ddos'd, i can understand that they wouldnt just say "we dont know what the problem is at all and it should not be happening like this" but until people know what happened, i can see why they expect the worst
no, just on a purely mechanical level. at least in the SB launch, there aren't hour long queues just to get into the game in which case there's so many people around that you're either teleporting along at 5fps or getting constantly disconnected
Dunno when the last time you played wow was, but the last 2 expansion launches have been smooth as shit, not a single frame drop, no queues, Blizzard figured out their shit hardcore
It was hilarious seeing all those people chilling next to Raubhan, meanwhile cut to me and my buddies grinding fates, PvP and potd enjoying the new jobs and changes lol
Pat clearly ignored the part where Woolie stated "im not denying I don't do this stuff, im saying im not gonna be the one to shit-talk first and judge others because I get it" Pat could live a less confrontation filled life if he just kept things to himself a little more XD
guys i made a shitty stormblood meme video on my main channel
ua-cam.com/video/NkWVRcexSlw/v-deo.html
I saw Stormblood's launch as God punishing Square for their deal with Machine Zone for that FFXV branded Game of War clone.
mr clemps with his giggles gives me life
It’s so nice to finally have context for Pat’s FF talk
21:44 is where Woolie and Matt pretended to care until Pat stopped talking.
I adore Mr Clemps. a good boy
I remember this! But I was like lv7 and it was the magiked stick or something in Gridania and like 4 other ideal people awaiting death

Wow I'm glad I could never get into MMO's this sounds nightmarish, even more so if you're crazy like Pat and force youself through this bullshit
3 months later and I can laugh about it
I think Pat is a crazy person?
the sad part? still better than your usual WoW expac launch
A Random Guy because there's actual content instead of plain bs
