I live here on the Big Island, only a few miles from Leilani. The lava flow in 2018 left many of our people homeless. As beautiful as the lava is and how grateful we are for it providing new lands, it is very destructive.

The real danger from being that close to lava hitting salt-water is, LAZE. Laze is the steam cloud that forms when it hits salt-water. That steam cloud is made of Hydrochloric acid and fine shards of volcanic glass. If the the initial cloud doesn't burn out your lungs, you'll develop Mesothelioma from breathing in the fine shards of volcanic glass, in about half the time (10yrs) it does from breathing friable asbestos (20yrs). Have a great day!!

it doesn't need to completely melt to stop existing as a can. if it gets hot enough it will bend and misshapen, as it flows it will be strung along like a long noodle.
also it's not pure steel, it's a alloy.

The world and everything in it is passing away and everyone will be Judged according to what they have done. The wrath of our Heavenly Father GOD is almost here, repent of your sins in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and put your faith in Jesus Christ only. The only one who can save you from death is Jesus Christ The Son of GOD, every knee will bow to Him.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon.
      Matthew 24:3-14
3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.
6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
      Everything written is being fulfilled.
      Revelation 12:1-2
1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

This sign has already appeared in the sky as described in the Bible, this is a warning, the wrath of The Lord is about to be unleashed upon all disobedience. Time is over, repent of your sins, the only way to salvation is Jesus Christ, trust Him and have faith in Him.
We are going to be taken up to The Lord.
Woe to the nuclear families separated at the time of separation.
      Mathew 24:29-31
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days:
      ‘The sun will be darkened,
      and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’
30 At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
31 And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.
27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. ”

Do not let anyone mark your skin or brand you. Do not let anyone put anything inside your skin. The government will deceive you, and your soul is in danger of death, do not take the mark of the beast.
I sincerely warn you , flee as far as you can from the mark of the beast , do not take it. There is no coming back from it.
      Revelation 13:15-17
15 The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.
16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads,
17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.
      Revelation 14:9-11
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand,
10 the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out unmixed into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”
Do not take the mark of the beast.
Taking that mark will put your soul to death for eternity.
      Run away from it.
      2 Thessalonians 2:5-12
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
DO NOT BELIEVE ON THOSE THINGS YOU SEE ON TV AND THOSE (UFO 🛸 objects), THOSE THINGS ARE PART OF THE GREAT DELUSION, DO NOT BELIEVE ON WHAT THEY COME UP WITH SAYING ABOUT IT.
PUT YOUR FAITH AND TRUST IN JESUS CHRIST ONLY, THE CHURCH IS ABOUT TO GO HOME AND WHOEVER TELLS THE LIE WILL MOST LIKELY BLAME THOSE THINGS FOR OUR DISAPPEARANCE.
The people, have been lied to their whole lives about the truth. I have warned you ahead of time.
We are entering into 7 years of wrath upon the whole earth. No man has ever seen the disaster that will arrive now.
The RAPTURE of The Church is about to happen. Do not be left behind.
REPENT OF YOUR SINS. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life, HE is the door to heaven! , put your faith and trust in Him.
Be ready, watch carefully. God bless the Nation of Israel and God bless you, may The Lord keep you and your family safe , in Jesus' name. Amen.

I was in Iceland in September 2021 when the volcano there was going off(ish). The volcano had kind of gone silent for a few days, but we climbed up to it anyway. Two days before the volcano had started again for a few hours, but there were storms so it was closed off. So we went 2 days later when it had stopped again.
Anyway, I have a picture on my phone of the hardened lava, and two minutes later another picture of the lava flowing again. Not sure exactly what happened to start it going again (I believe it was a fissure) but it was flowing so fast it was insane. We were evacuated out but had to walk just a few metres above the flow to get to the next evacuation path, it was like my body was in an oven it was so hot!
Honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had

When we go, we're in this small town of Volcano and the place is real close to the action. ..The last time we went, many of the roads were closed off in Leilani Estates. I still think it is beautiful country though. So peaceful and yet.... Have a nice Day.

As much as I love that first video (actually, they're all awesome, in the traditional sense of the word), the person who took it is just about as stupid as you can be without literally dying from it. Kīlauea has claimed just one life (that we know of) in the last 40 years* (from actual eruptive activity - there have been earthquakes with fatalities, and a couple people have taken fatal falls into old lava tubes and craters), and that person was killed in a very similar environment to this - an ocean entry. Now, a lava flow that is falling into the ocean (as demonstrated here) is actually not THAT imminently dangerous, because it's not accumulating molten material underwater (which could lead to steam explosions). And the water temperature won't be that hot (it'll still scald you if you get close enough), since the heat capacity of water allows it to absorb a lot of heat without raising its temperature that much. However, ocean entries are often just massive features, with lava entering the ocean at multiple points along a 100+ meter coastline, and if, at any time, there was steam superheating underwater and pressurizing within a lava tube or other structure (at another nearby site), it could've created an explosion of boiling water and molten rock (showering that rock hundreds of meters from the site of the explosion). I've been to over 15 active volcanoes, climbed or hiked on and around all of them (8 of which were erupting while I was there)...and the one place I felt the most nervous was at a Kīlauea ocean entry. And just in case people are questioning my credentials here, I spent over 3 months interning at the Hawai'ian Volcano Observatory. While there, I visited active lava flow areas about 14-15 times, both as a part of my job, and in the evenings/weekends for fun - as you might imagine, I got to know that volcano pretty well in that time. I learned how to safely traverse active lava flow fields, where the molten rock was just a few inches below my hiking boots (yes, my soles did melt a bit), and visited the summit of the Pu'u'ō'ō cinder cone, from which all of the lava was flowing. In the last couple weeks of my time there, a lava flow that had been slowly advancing since before I arrived FINALLY reached the ocean, and I got to spend a couple nights watching the magic of an ocean entry. It was wonderful...but also extremely sketchy. In other words, it's not something I would advise any non-geologist/volcanologist (or someone who has trained in these areas) to do (and I actually encourage people to visit erupting volcanoes - they're freakin' amazing, and as long as you hire a local guide who knows the volcano, pretty safe too). And getting within a couple meters of the action is not something even the most daredevil volcanologist would EVER attempt. It's just silly.
Incidentally, the hazards don't end with 3rd degree burns or lava to the noggin'. There are long-term dangers too. The fumes that result from lava entering water are...really bad. Microscopic shards of volcanic glass are created in this interaction, and they are light enough to float away from any place lava enters a body of water, buoyed by the warm steam plume. Breathing these is inevitable if you're that close to the action, but easy to avoid if you are further away (just stay upwind). Even a single exposure to such a plume can cause *permanent* lung damage, and diseases similar to what miners get when exposed to silica dust (silicosis). Moreover, lava entering SEAWATER adds yet another dimension of holy crap, because that plume will also contain hydrochloric acid vapour, which when breathed in condenses in your lungs and does its own damage. Breathing in acidic gases is not something you should do if you can help it.
*A convenient timeframe, since Kilauea's main modern eruption began in January 1983, and ended in August 2018, after which eruptive activity has been sporadic - the 40 year anniversary of the beginning of this eruptive period is coming up in a few months.

Well they did have one of those phone sticks so they weren't that close to the flowing lava as it seems by the video... But I still agree with you that was dangerous as hell. I wonder that, if they grabbed any of those solid rocks nearby to support themselves, their hands would just stick to it by being immediately molten into it... Not sure if that can happen, but it's a pretty scary thought.

That first person was taking ridiculous chances. Not only is the lava itself dangerous, but you can get steam explosions and very fine, dangerous particles of volcanic glass that you do NOT want to get in your lungs. Oh and it's magma in the earth and lava when it erupts. (Sorry, I'm picky that way.)

Obviously, no one told him about volcanic LAZE. Laze is the steam cloud that forms when lava hits salt-water.

You can literally hallucinate objects and beings into existence because what's happening is you're tapping into that pure abstract creative potential of mind. That's exactly what you want. Of course it can be kind of freaky but a psychedelic is that times a thousand. See so again the point is not to achieve some blissful state or to see some cool colors or to travel to some new dimension you can do all those things. That's nice, that's fun. The point is the lessons the insights you get and the meta understanding of how this entire process works because as you're exploring all your different domains you're learning about your own mind. How the mind of God is generating reality and why it's generating it. ☄

    some interesting facts about lava:
    1. Lava is extremely hot: It can reach temperatures of 1,200 to 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit (650 to 1,200 degrees Celsius).
    2. There are different types of lava: The two main types are 'A'a and Pahoehoe. A'a lava is thick and clumpy, while Pahoehoe lava is more fluid and smooth.
    3. Lava can flow very fast: The speed of lava can vary depending on the type and viscosity of the magma. Some lava flows can move at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour.
    4. Lava can create new land: When lava flows into the ocean, it can solidify and create new land.
    5. The color of lava can indicate its temperature: Lava that appears red is hotter than lava that appears orange or yellow.
    6. Lava can create different formations: When lava cools, it can create different formations such as lava tubes, lava domes, and lava lakes.
    7. Lava can be dangerous: Lava can cause fires, destroy buildings, and create toxic gas when it comes into contact with vegetation, water, or other materials.
    8. Lava can contain different elements: Lava can contain various elements including silica, aluminum, iron, magnesium, calcium, sodium, and potassium.
    9. Lava has been used in art and design: Lava has been used in jewelry, sculpture, and architecture for thousands of years.
    10. Lava has been studied for scientific research: Lava can provide valuable information about the earth's geologic history and help scientists understand the formation of volcanic landforms.
