    Interesting looking thing.
    Wonder how well it will fare in the field, especially as its so open to grit

      Yeah, didn't think of that. I'm pretty much okay as the cqb I play at is indoors and relatively clean, but you certainly would fill this thing with crap pretty quick.

    Good vid man. Interested to see how you go on with this. Shameless self plug, I did a similar tear down and then additional couple of upgrade videos with a GE Hi Capa and I found it was always "ok" but ended up spending the same again in TM and upgrade parts to get it "right".

      I've seen your vids, so I somewhat know what to expect out of this I guess. It's often the case that spending the extra -£50- for a TM is probably the best way to go on the long run. But for the people who don't have all the pennies to lob initially it might be a better option so long as it works out of the box okayish. I have my reservations about it, especially in the relative cold we have at the moment. I really need to get a couple of TM guns on the channel don't I? 😬

      @@MrLilredmachine I dunno....TM's are great as they "just work" but also that makes them extremely boring. I mean...who wants something that works "all" of the time? lol

    That front part of the slide looks weak

    • @MrLilredmachine
      @MrLilredmachine  2 роки тому +1

      It does, to be honest. It depends how far you're going to be throwing it though. 😂 In all seriousness there are some seriously cut slides out there and they are usually okay, but yeah you could probably fracture it pretty easy by dropping it.

    This feels like M9 and Hi capa having a child.

    • @MrLilredmachine
      @MrLilredmachine  2 роки тому

      Haha, it does look a bit like that with the exposed barrel. An M9 gbb is something I've been wanting to pick up.

      @@MrLilredmachine Hi one question about Hi capa, my Vorsk Hi capa's grip safety stops working. I can fire the gun even if I'm not griping it. What could cause it and is there a way to fix it?

    does anyone know if a normal 1911 slide will fit on the frame

    • @MrLilredmachine
      @MrLilredmachine  2 роки тому +1

      Pretty much yes, does depend on the 1911 you want to use, but my friend has one of these built with an AA 1911 slide assembly on it. He said that there needs to be slight filing to the slide but everything else fits perfectly.
      A HI-capa is just a double stacked 1911 after all.

    is the inner barrel 12mm+ or -?

    • @MrLilredmachine
      @MrLilredmachine  2 роки тому

      Unfortunately I cannot remember. I believe it was 12mm- but please don't quote me on that, I sold it a little while ago. I vaguely remember the 12mm+ adapter off my WE dragon not fitting due to being the opposite thread.

    How reliable are Golden Eagle HI Capas, has anything broke?

    • @MrLilredmachine
      @MrLilredmachine  Рік тому

      Honestly they are pretty good. You'll get the same wear you tend to experience on any big metal on metal hi-capa, particularly with poor lubrication, but apart from that they are pretty stalwart.

    Is it a co2 /gas or eletric

    • @MrLilredmachine
      @MrLilredmachine  Рік тому +1

      This variant is green gas, however being full metal I would imagine you can use it with CO2 with the correct magazine.
