now in my 50s and if i could go back and do it all again i would not hesitate, no phones, no social media, no knobheads with knives what a magical era to grow up.
Who would go back in a heartbeat.......
Anybody?
from 2020, under house arrest, yes- I would gladly go back!
I miss it bad when I hear the tunes.
greatest experience just amazing
Of course. If you weren’t there you can’t understand. I’d probably go back to ‘93-94.
Andy P miss it loads now I am older, can not believe what we managed to do.
At one Point most towns had a rave/club nightclub or outside party.
I started in the end of 1992, but had been listening to tapes since 1989/90.
Living in up north I would like to have been in London or Manchester for the start of it in 87/88.
Then I could of experienced Shoom early Ibiza, the Orbital M25 raves, the Hacienda, thunder dome and then the bigger raves even though I went to Rezerection which was 5000 people & totally crazy the videos are on here.
Really miss it especially in lockdown.
It kills me seeing this. The best days of my life. In my 40's now. What a great time it was to be young. There will never be a time like this again. It was raw and genuine joy and freedom. Will cherish the memories til the day I die. Wicked, wicked times.
CaptainButtonMasher mate what wicked times to be part of it fucking smashed it all this grown up shit is bollox I no everyone has said it but I need to go back old skool will never die
Word up. 😎🤜🤛
Couldn't have put it better myself.
Now we have spice kiddies mugging people and third world gangs mugging too at British raves.
No Snowflakes no safe spaces
no knife attacks no poltical correctness hmm ?
Good Times
Boy do I miss these years in my life the 90s were the best times I've been to a lot of raves during those years dancing my butt off till 7:00 in the morning such great times great music great atmosphere everyone was cool and got along positive vibes
I m 49 ,and i still hear 1988 1992 music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
🎉😊
Rather rave 🎉
73 child❤😊
Iam 47 this years, amazing times. Never to be repeated! We are the lucky ones!
And we are still here .
49 and still blast it like I’m 21. I just can’t hang like I used to LOL I passed this on to my kids. So funny to watch them like this music.
P
48 now, artcore will never die!!!🤪
I am 46 years old and this was the BEST AND EXCITING time in my then young life.
At that time I always went with my friends and my sister to the disco P1 in Rotgasse in the 1st district of Vienna.
Greetings to all of you who have stayed young in their hearts and still raving at home exactly AS they did when they were young, when they are home alone 😂😂😂.
Lots of love from austria 🇦🇹, Mara Rooney 😘
is anyone else still stuck in this year like me?
Yeah me lol.
Very pleasantly..
To be part of this movement makes me feel blessed. It broke down so many racial barriers and for a short time this kingdom was truly united. Peace out all cru 🤜🤛🕊️
So true the way everyone was at one with one another was just ...... ecstasy !!
And then like anything that stops racial and religious bigotry the government says ohh drugs are bad and e kills!!!
No BLM no riots no covid no political correctness no politics full stop
it's a shame - we were all friends back then - what happened? =(
Mental mix, like a 12 hr rave in 10 mins!!
Privileged. To be in this scene was amazing. You danced next to people you had never met and were friends. A pass of a spliff or some water bottle. Always apologising if you bumped in to anyone or they you. Looking at other dancing styles and being able to tell their top three tracks from the moves and the clothes. Friendly doesn't really cover it. Gurning was optional (and fun) but smiling and nodding essential.
And the tunes? Some just hit you. They moved your body for you. Suddenly you wanted to dance, but not as though no one was watching you, more because everyone around you was sharing something with you. Loud? Certainly. But music that just played you like an instrument. Once you fell in love with those synths, drum machines, squelches and patterns and that was you. In love for ever.
Still am.
God I miss these times so much
Yes mate probably the best time of our lives
Probably?
My favourite year for raves so many memories… 😋
I'm 55 now and not one day passes by where my mind never stops tracking back to those days.. I never done the dance mental like I did with those tunes. One more thing... You see my pic, that's a diary I wrote in 1989 called Strobe Steppa... Basically throughout the whole of 89' I'd rave to parties, illegals, open air and warehouses... All original flyers from 89' only. Partying non stop at places like Sunrise and Back To The Future, Energy, Biology, Shelleys, Hacienda, Dungeons, Clink Street, Shoom, Nut House, Labyrinth, Camden Palace, The Park, Kensington, Dingwall, Shoom, Spectrum at Heaven, Future etc.. Loads more including the first press release of Roland's Tb303... It really is my pride and joy looking back now 31 years later... Nothing can touch this era musically as far as I'm concerned.. What can I say, it was pure magic!
amen brother, tears in my eyes looking back at how we use to party, 48 now and feel old.
Grind/death and crust was really taking off at that time too
Wow that was a real blast from the past, banging times and a banging mix 😊👍👍👍👍👍😊
Look how we all came together and made it happen WITHOUT mobile phones or social media. We really did have a rave. Shame some will never get to experience that euphoria we did.
Watching this makes me want to cry. Best times of my life.
What a mix much respect 🙏
History 😎💣🔥🔥🔥👍
This footage should be saved and preserved
Best music in the world still love it
We had a recession in 91 so we went out to clubs and danced the night away
Never be beaten, never to be repeated. So lucky to have witnessed this.
You know it's old school when Carl Cox still has hair 8)
and Moby
Absolutely brilliant, brings back such good memories for us 40 somethings
Crazy times bring it back
And 50s
Best year ever. Absolutely blinding mix Faydz. 👌🏻
I was a Raver from 87-93, my back & Jaw never were the same again.
Edit: 😋
Everyone who got to experience these days in the 90s and dance music... I fully! Envy you all!.. I felt like I was born In the wrong time , no cell phones , jus full on face to face genuine interactions and experiences being made with some of the sickest music I heard well.. late 90s n early 2000s was fuckin sick to but again.. times like.. I wish! I was old enough to party in the UK at these times. I was only a 1 year old in 91 .
Good times I wish I was apart of
Omg..sterns in Worthing..what memories..R,i,p mencer 💙
Yes am 57 now and had second bite of the cherry so to speak in the 90s . Nothing would or could ever compare to the rave scene from fighting every weekend to wanting to talk to everyone was a mad feeling for me . Had some great times that’s for sure.
7 years older than me .
I saw 2 old ladies that were pentioners in Shelleys stoke on trent back then with us .
I was convinced that Old Age is bullshit .
Yeah am 60 now, similar situation, must say was a very young 28 y.o in 1990 raved from 89 to 1995 still love dancing and music, fond memories of those times and new music that has that spirit, just a bit slower bpms obviously things are different now but still find moments of serendipity. never stop feeling, doing what you love, while you can and ur heart is still beating.
that exact thing ...i also had 2nd bite and was mad raver from 89-92 ...26-29 years old ...went to Shellys every Friday nights for the whole of 90-91....top Pills Magical Girls ...insane music ..pre cell phone ..
ДАААА просто можно сойти с ума- было так весело)))
Кое где в рф было интересней:)

Wasn’t even born in 91 but I’m nostalgic anyway
I went way back smiling hard. Thank you
Mate, there is nothing else out there like these videos you do, even syncing some of the tunes in your mix to clips of the artists in the video. You are an absolute genius. I don't even want to imagine how long this took to put together.
Going to work on a Monday still buzzing, but hitting a brick wall around 12 Midday .... Home, bed, no dinner !!

I didnt get to go to my first Rave until 1993..... It changed my whole life!!!! It made me be such a better human to others and to myself!!! Those days are really sacred..... its hard to explain exactly what one felt when at a rave back then. Now its so commercial but at least it is still going!!!!
Oh gosh, what a mix. The sound of my youth. Cheers from Germany.
Brings tears to my eyes. Life was so good back then
What a time never forget
Ahhhhh... now in my 40s I now know this was the only time we were truly free in everyway.. The time was ours. What a buzz. Sad for my kids llol.

Lucky bastard
Me too. Absolutely loved those days.
i remember most of the dj's on the flyers these were the best days ever
Omg 20 years of my life gone in 9 minutes, thank god I was there to actually hear the 12" versions
the rave scene had such a profound effect on society, especially in the uk, that the generation involved in it carried it forward to the point where it's become a huge influence on electronic music, trends and just everyday life, even now. it's like the classical music of the 90s. it'll never go away. it will always be felt, even if people weren't directly involed in it or wasn't even born yet.
Amen. Goosebumps
My heart never left
Rave On 😀
👏💫👏💫👏💫👏PURE GOLD 👌👌We were there & we were so lucky to be a part of this. 🩷💃🩷💃🩷

Fades ,,, every time you still banging it bro ... The vada... Like the manix keep the dream alive
Just listened to your '92 mix and this is just as good! I've got most of these tunes. In '91 I was too young to rave....but I was buying tunes, collecting flyers, listening to the pirates (and making tapes), hearing tales from older mates who did go raves, learning to mix and scratch on two wobbly, shitty belt drive decks (with no pitch control!) and playing at a few parties....wicked days! Got some fake ID and started raving in the summer of '92! These riddims are a huge part of my youth!
Great mix - 53 yrs old now - I remember all of those
Brings back many memories..... thankyou..... 😎🌞😎
Them were the day's 🎵🎹🎶🙏🙌👊🙏
Yes yes yes amazing tunes, amazing drugs, amazing people,
Love Faydz thank you

Hairs on my arms are all standing up!! .... what a year that was .. and 92 .... i was just out of shot in that cambridge eclipse clip ... i think i was there 😬😝
another banging year! Yeee boyyyy!
Hairs on the back of my neck still haven't gone down, music when it was made for the fans not for the corporations.
They stole our sounds & put most of them on the radio several years ago .
They classed it as POP to ruin it .
Cheep Decriminalized copies
Couldn't have been said better bro
just beautiful! 46 now and did many a 12 hour Rez, Awesome 101, Holocaust, and many more. I miss those days
