Sir if possible please provide information about work profile and postings of IES officer (CIVIL engg) in CPWD and railways department. It will be very helpful to civil engineering aspirants.
This looks so inspirational but seeing the current situations of railways IES IRMS and all this stuff .. you can actually do the reality check that how it is 10 times more tough than it was back then ... i don’t know if it is still worth it or not...

@Rajnish Mishra it will be sold slowly and steadily provided you vote for BJP again in 2024. Otherwise it's not that easy to sell railway. Give them time till 2029 , they will sell railway easily
Observing the government's policies for sometime, I am sharing my conclusion. From 2021, there will a lot of uncertainity in govt. jobs. I think most of the notifications will be once in 2 to 3 years. In case of regular notifications, I guess the number of vacancies will be reduced each time. On top of that, I guess there will be a cap on number of attempts as well. I request all the aspirants to please think of family backgrounds before preparing for IES (or any other govt. job in general).

My studies throughout my engineering career, especially IC Engines, inventory management,. Theory of machines , mechanics are fully utilised in my engineering services job in railways. Technical satisfaction is much more in engineering services than civil services for an engineer. Civil services are way better for administrative satisfaction in career. You have to decide what you love in your job. All the best.
So that we may get opportunity to apply our engg knowledge in our core fields 👉👉 and add values in that specific engg profession which we studied 4 yrs completely ✌✌
