No RSD pickups for me, but I did complete my Pale Jay 12" collection with the new Colemine exclusive reissue of his first EP. He's probably my fave discovery of the year & I love that he's still new enough to make grabbing all his stuff doable.
The record collecting quandary, buy too much that you don’t around having time to listen to,it is real. I have found that I can go later in the day and still find what I want So maybe I need some tattoos to make it big. It’s been awhile since I’ve heard from you, great to see a video.
Hey Scott, good to see you! I’m on the lookout for that Curtis Mayfield too. No participating stores in my area so hoping I can get some RSD titles online this weekend. Happy holidays!
The Curtis Mayfield rsd release is soooooo damn good! My store only had 2 copies, and I grabbed one. But I live in Colorado Springs and people here love rock, prog, folk so I get what I want 90% of the time being a soul head. I also grabbed Joe Bataan-Riot, some great latin soul that will touch your soul.
@@anthonyburke223 It isn't a typical jazz album. It is a musical project. Like Hancock's Imagine album or later Quincy Jones efforts like Body Heat or Mellow Madness. Not for everyone. I really like it. Remember that I am a vocalist, so...
That Beatles poster is cool. I’m a big Herbie Hancock fan but the vocals is s big turn off. I really like Thievery Corporation. I was surprised at the lack of RSD haul videos.
@@vinylrichie007 Hey, Richie!! Great hearing from you! The Hancock release isn't for everyone. Being a vocalist myself, I really dig it. It isn't pure jazz, but it is a result of great sessions with major talents making serious music. Not just a pop project. Thievery Corporation is amazing!! I think RSD this time around didn't inspire people to shop or get excited about the event. Not much stood out. Maybe that's why so few videos. Take care!!
I love Thievery Corporation!
Welcome back! Looking forward to checking out the Leon Bridges and Michael kiwanuka albums. I hope you get to do another deep dive soon!
Doggo cameo at 2:51 !

@@Russell.S Happy Holidays!! Yeah, this RSD wasn't really that interesting. Good stuff, not incredible stuff.
Good to see you back Scott ✌🏻

@@djtrishm 🤣🤣🤣Yes!! I am alive!!! I really miss Rachel, but not ready to return yet. The politics wear me out. Happy Holidays!!!
Hi Scott. Hope your well in Fl. I miss Tampa so much. I didn't buy anything for RSD. Take care, Charles.
@@WordsRuinMusic I don't blame you. Not the most interesting RSD list.
What’s the Herbie sound like , are they good songs ?
Thinking about buying it .
