I love D'Banj. I think he was brutally honest about his feelings. Watching the whole interview, it is clear that certain parts would be misinterpreted. D'Banj has a vision for himself and I hope he can actualise it.
Hmm...One of those unforgettable moments when you realized you were OYO despite all your commitments and optimism for the group's success...And surely the good and the generous shall be richly favored. D'Banj, keep moving on...Keep the faith.
I love the Part where Dbanj said he would have Loved Jazzy to sit here, so they can discuss about the breaking of Mohits.. So it obvious Dbanj's hands are clean and like he said he made a mistake for not knowing things have changed,, he was just too focused in his international plans, the break was a shock to him and he wasn't prepared for that move. in business, you really need to pay attention to your environment..both internal and external. Technically he lost the staff and his vision/dream got a lil too big for his partner jazzy, which ultimately led to their breakup.in addition, jazzy felt dbanj got too big for mohits, and for him to realize his vision as a mo'hit exec, dbanj had to go. hence the new mavin. now if the last 3years has shown us anything, its the realization of their true intentions. dbanj wanted to conquer the world, don jazzy wanted to conquer Nigeria, grow organically, have multiple income streams and be a king in his country. if you ask me, they are well on their way to achieving their dreams.I wish them luck, i really miss them together but in life and as a business man, i know the only thing constant is change.
At least Don Jazzy is still at it now and conquering the world with his signees and richer now but can't say D'Banj didn't lose something for decision that broke that record label
The truth of the matter from my view point is this, Dbanj is a great talent and Djazzy is great manager. jazzy made good songs for Dbanj and Dbanj brought in money for the company. At a time, Fame and success came along, Bigger companies wanted to buy them out entirely as Dbanj said,. If this happens Donjazzy will loose his Boss status at a time.He does not want that but Dbanj does not care as long as he goes viral with the new deal coz he was the star of the group. upcoming arts will be affected coz no new attention will be given to them. Dbanj on his part should have looked back to know his decision will not go down well with others but was carried a way by the fore coming super stardom. A coup was planned behind him to protect their own career. Don Jazzy did what every good business man would coz his empire and his control was at stake.D banj too would not be blamed too because some decision are taken with your personal conviction, but is not always greener else where. Now the deed had been done and the fact is Dbanj needs to upgrade his Music career to prove he was right after all. He has not been doing too good on the home scene because his structure on the ground is saggy now. Djazzy on the other hand had recaptured what he feared he was loosing by his new Marvin out fit and in total control. They are both great Nigerian ambassadors, but you know what, Shit happens and can also be fixed.

I am very glad this interview happened and d'banj said his mind. D'banj, Dr Sid and jazzy have all moved on and are making good music. This interview is actually for every fan saying d'banj must go back to don jazzy and beg before he can make good music, now you know why! D'banj is trying so hard and making good music after the split, but no matter how hard he tries people just want him to go and beg don jazzy. We are all killing his hustle. The whole issue about Mo hits is choice !!! The D banj only cann't decide for the whole crew coz his interested in Kanye West Deal ,according to Dr sid for D banj leaving the crew its a big opportunity for them to utilize Don Baba J .Thank God they are all doing good.We see same things different ways .

@olisa.tv To be honest, this interview was a great and nourished one with life coming in at different angles or perspectives... I would recommend that D'banj would do a musical/game/comedy show for Nigerian songs,events and also the artiste, just like the common comedy game show in America whose line is it anyway?. I believe it would be an eye opener for our politicians who watch the channels news and ait without any form of rich entertainment. hopefully it might open doors and ways for young youths to explore career opportunities in the entertainment aspect. Or what do you think.

With the whole interview, I finally came to a conclusion concerning what caused the rift between the group...
Dbanj's reaction in this interview says everything only if u guys are observant.
Firstly, why would Don Jazzy hate him so much to the extent that he asked him to leave....?
Dr Sid said he was overshadowing them...but definitely he wasnt overshadowing Don Jazzy because Jazzy was a producer, which means they worked together(dependent to one another)....
So what could have possibly be the cause of the hatred between this 2 guys?
1. D'banj
2. Mohits Stars...
For Don Jazzy to hate him that much, Im sure Dbanj was actually playing some kind of games on them...such as been secretive, sealing some private deals, cunny and outsmarting...
Mohit Stars were actually the ones that convinced Don Jazzy to let go of him because to them, he was overshadowing them and to Jazzy, D'banj was outsmarting him..(D'banj was the voice of Mohit...Im sure most deals came through him)..

No one is trying to argue with you but believe what you want. Wande Coal is a super star and always has been... He released some banging songs before his first album debut. In his album titled Mushin to Mohits, he made so much hits that blew Nigerian music industry into another level. Wande Coal was a better music composer than D'ban, Wande Coal became famous overnight and was the most sort after in the music industry. Out of jealousy and greed, D'banj succeeded in persuading Don Jazzy to stop Wande Coal's musical production. Just like Edris Abdulkareem point out to plantashion boyz that Tuface is the star out of the group, Wande Coal was the star while Don jazzy was the Einstein of mohits.
Dbanj is a child...This whole break up with Mohits is old.. He would have being matured about it.. Can you guyz called bloggers, interviewer and some foolish illiterates Nigerians stop posting rubbish and writing nonsense about Dbanj. After the separation of him and his then partner and friend Don Jassy he's doing great both in Nigeria and all over the globe.
The different between Dbanj 2004-2011 and Dbanj 2012 till dates is just music advancement. D'banj's songs now are very high in quality and high and more mature than Nigeria music. And because of the high level of illiteracy in Nigeria music industry some folks were saying his music is down. Is music is not down but upgraded to international standard.
We don't value him rather we rubbish with split on him. I pray we won't loose him befoe we realised what God had given to us. To me D'banj is the Jesus Christ of Africa's music industry, he laid it down for all. He's doing great and making us proud all over the world.

Its hard to let go what you ave invested in so much.How mohit made money and most of the endorsements came from d'banj, Don jazzy played the nice guy and made dbanj look so bad same way he did with wande coal. I understand banga lee and Jazzy. jazzy felt inferior to americans in a way. he was trying to protect his status as africa's Dr dre+Kanye but Dbanj was eager to take the risk. another thing i heard is that jazzy was always left alone in the studio or at the yard and dbanj would go partying and meeting other american stars. donjazzy needed his company so he felt inferior. so rather make him lose him status make him just go start another phase. but bcos don jazzy is intelligent he's been able put another group together. I hardly ever write on such Forums, but this is just such a poorly conducted interview, I'm moved to speak. The interviewer is constantly interrupting D'banj, self-promoting his own brand of humour and not letting such a huge star (who graced the show) speak! Let alone land with key points. It's really frustrating. How often does D'Banj give a 30 minute interview? And how rare is it for him to speak about THE SPLIT! Yet this guy sees it fit to do most of the talking! Can't agree more with Yung Cino's comments. Please find someone to interview you--separately--if you have so much to say!
