Headwounds are notoriously bloody, but he could _stand_ after that thrashing. If not for the depiction of a fractured skull, fictional settings leading to unnatural resilience, and boyfriend being a general badass... Well, let's just say that fractured skulls rarely leave someone able to stand IRL.
