4:52 Wizards has actually spoken about this. Hell Queue for Brawl DOES exist, but it is not determined solely by your commander. It's also based on the quality of your other 99 cards. So a Hell Queue commander with a subpar deck around it can sometimes escape from Hell Queue, whereas a less good commander can still end up in Hell Queue if you've got nothing but excellent cards in the rest of your deck.

Now, that employee may have been lying - they keep trying to say that Alchemy is a popular format, after all - but this is one of those things I don't think you'd lie about, or at least if you would, you would try to deny Hell Queue exists at all.

Honestly CGB between this and your Rocco street chef deck (Which I've been playing and love) I'm enjoying the strategies where you play small threats and outpace opponents and I know you probably don't have time for it, but would love to see a revisit of Rocco with cards like Peregrin took and Samgee and maybe some of the new adventure/food cards coming out.
Always love seeing you get to play puzzles, CGB! It's what I love about control magic, but it's refreshing to see it in a low to the ground midrange value deck too!!!
The trouble with lurrus companion in brawl is that most of the time you’d probably be better off playing with lurrus as the commander so you can play it more than once, for only 3 mana the first time, and with no deck restriction
I gotta say - I got so sick of the state of standard that I have all but stopped playing MTG and just get my fix watching your videos - because you are the same kind of control mage I am (though way better at both brewing and playing the game). But your Historic Brawl videos are starting to draw me back in, because all of the things that cause Standard to be such a failure of a format do not exist in a 100 card singleton pile. Please keep the HB coming - they've become my favorite videos of yours.

The year is 2035. My favorite game Magic: Arena still has no hand organization quality-of-life features. My shaky hand slowly scrawls one pixel at time through my 50 card hand trying to make sense of it all. I have 2 seconds left on my last timeout. Peer into the abyss? Oh I've done that, and more.
We have Wilds of Eldraine content on the other channels!…. Who cares! We have Historic Brawl right here on the MAIN Channel, where all of the most important and best things happen! We can watch that slightly less cool content on the other channels after.

I’ve never heard it confirmed that anything other than your Commander determines what queue you’re in. Where did they say this about your deck cards?
