Just closed on a house here in Colorado Springs. First time homeowner and have never done any more than mow a lawn as a kid so I'm really excited to dedicate time and effort to my new home. The house and lawn are 8 years old and had one previous owner. The front and back yards are in rough shape and are overrun by weeds, some up to 2 feet tall in the back. I've been seeing Twin City across a lot of the lawn care community and plan to use their Tuff Turf blend of 70% TTTF, 20% Perennial Rye, 10% KBG. I've been trying to decide if I should just plan to kill it all in August and start fresh or try to selectively remove the weeds and overseed whatever grass is already out there.

I'm from NC. I overseeded in the fall. I think too late around Hollwen a couple seeds came up. I Overseeded again last week with Tall fescue. It Rain about every other day. Is that enough or should o water between the Rainy days

You’ll just want to keep the seed and soil moist. Once germination occurs you can start to back off.

I’m planning on seeding a new lawn soon in Amarillo TX which is in the transition zone. I’m mostly convinced that tall fescue is the route I want to go but there are so many brands and manufacturers out there I feel a bit lost as to which tall fescue I should use. Do you have any recommendations??

We have a free grass guide linked in the description. But our favorites are Resilience 2 or Blue Resilience which has a little KBG in it to help with filling in and repairing itself.
