I thought of this verse “ Lord don’t make me so thin that I steal or so fat that I forget you.” Daniel was very clearly in captivity and was praying and repenting for his people. Are we in captivity? Captivity of the world or doctrine of men when the spirit has left. Praying and repent, but to those who endure.
It might be necessary for us to periodically subdue the flesh by fasting. We need to be full of the Spirit in these days! Separate unto Him. Good thinking! 👍
If "our trust is in Christ", we will "keep a short account of sin", and repent to stay "in Him"! Depending on God's love to cover our sin, while sinning without conscience, is hugely disrespectful of Christ's sacrifice, and the Spirit doesn't remain under those circumstances. Let's truly love God, and repent, and choose to be pure and holy!

I can hardly breathe many times and I will say-when I was on 1.0 mg of risperdal I had to take time off of work because I couldn’t breathe through a surgical mask. Getting down to 0.5 mg’s has made breathing a lot easier. But these things are not easy. Have some compassion on others who may be on 2.0 - 10.0 mg’s of a prescription drug - who would LOVE TO HAVE A DISCERNIBLE ZEAL FOR CHRIST, but their medicine keeps them miserably stuck. Sometimes these things cannot Go out “except by prayer and fasting.” Telling someone they could just stop taking their pharmaceuticals just like that could kill them. Literally. Look up Dr. Peter Breggin he has sensible advice - he has a book: “your drug may be your problem.”

Cathy, we need to let the people choose. Even the ones we love! The only person who can awaken hearts is the Spirit. Ask Him who He wants you to speak to. Otherwise you will be "knocking your head against the wall ". We need to be led by the Spirit. Not my will, but Your will, be done, LORD God Almighty!
