Yone is just one of those champs if you make a dumb mistake early he will farm you for the rest of the game but if you get the slightest lead on him he will go 0/10 and be worthless.
He needs alot to be ahead in lane bcz he can play safe.

Worst take on the internet. That's not even close to being it. Yone is a 6 item champ at 2 items. That has always been his problem. He has so many things and numbers loaded into his kit that never needed to be in there in the first place. Like giving him mixed damage on his passive for no reason, for example. It happens so often that you get fed into a Yone who can't lane if his life depended on it, then later into the game, even when you're 2 items ahead, he either solo kills you or comes really close to it. The champ is just too overloaded.

Tf is not broken IMO he is pretty much always a free lane for me and if bot and toplaners know a little bit about wavecontrol he isn’t that strong. Having wards in river is a good wave to spot tf, before he does much. He forces somebody else to be a magic damage threat as well, since his damage is quite low. Which is why some people pick tf Diana. What tf does is set up sidelane champions like fiora, Camille, Gwen, Jax stuff that usually likes splitting and being an unduellable sidelane at somepoint. In those comps, he is great, but in most other he is kinda meh.

He's not broken. He is a "if i'm good on this champion i will most likely best my laner" or "if i suck ill go 0/10" a bad yone can be readed like a book for example you play vs a bronze yone, he uses 2 q's and you already know what is coming next, right his E spell in combination with his q knock up. A good yone for example dzukill will outplay you with movement, unpredictibility, using runes/w, etc.

nah honestly yone is one of the few champions that are 50/50, even if hes fed, hes still pretty easy to kill if he gets locked down
Yone probably has one of the most telegraphed kits in the game. Even more than statcheckers like Garen, Tryndamere and Malphite. It's very obvious when his q3 is up, so you have plenty of time to try and dodge it by either juking or faking the direction of your movement. His ult has a gigantic rectangle indicator on the ground, so you have time to dash or flash out of it. And whlie i agree yes, his e is a pretty poorly designed ability, it's not broken because it comes with it's disadvantages such as being forced to always have to snap back.
Technically, all of his damaging abilities are all skillshots and although everyone likes to complain that he just autoattacks you to death, this can only happen when he's very fed or scaled into the lategame.

It's more about getting hit by Yone's q knockup, but even then he has a fucking song playing when the q dash is ready, and if he only hits with the projectile end of q you can flash out of ult. It's really only flash q, and eeeven then having to use literally all your resources to secure a kill isn't particularly broken

That is not where yone is weak, he can usually melt juggernauts, his problem is he needs to scale and he has one of the most telegraphed kits, his q will always scream oh look I have a nado, his e will almost always scream, I want to fight now please trade with me and his also has a good amount of wind up time. Making kiting yone quite easy tbh.

Idk, broken and overpowered aren't always the same. Like yone might not be particularly good, but it doesn't change the fact his gameplay is pretty unhealthy and basically is just either hit ult and one shot with 0 counterplay or miss ult return to e and be pretty useless for the rest of the fight.
Zero counterplay? Ult is reactable wtf are you on big boy. Don't be caught sleeping on the wheel against cc when ult is up and you're good. Literally the same advice as Lux except Yone's q dash knockup is literally way louder and noticeable than Lux q, and Yone's ult cooldown is significantly higher
@@Amaling There is 0 counterplay if yone hits ult because he can land so much damage while your cc'ed, the counterplay is dodging the ult. And by pointing out the flaws in yones ult your helping make my point. I don't think yone is too strong, but him existing in his current state is a negative for the game. If they reduced the knock ups on his ult and q3 and gave him more value elsewhere then he would be a more healthy champion and less broken, even if he also became stronger.
@@StampyDog99 This has to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. You can't say his ult has 0 counterplay if you get hit by it. That was the counterplay broski. Dodge the ult.... Most champions have enough movement speed to just walk out of it and if you have a dash or flash you basically are never getting hit by it. The fact that the champion is kind of useless once he misses the ult is a great punish and the fact that you can usually walk out of it makes it have counterplay. Riot even allows you to flash out of his 3rd q knock up so that you cant guarantee hit ult by hitting 3rd q. The champion does scale very well but has a relatively weak laning phase with plenty of bad matchups top and mid. He is a fairly balanced champ but he does follow the whole 0/10 or 10/0 playstyle because of how much counterplay the champion has. If he had no counterplay yone players would either go 4/4 or 10/0. Like what else do you want them to do?
@@vermillionobscurity1162 You clearly dont get what I'm trying to say. As your previous example of lux was mentioned, lux gets to fish for qs while poking with e and shielding with w. If she misses a q she doesn't become instantly useless for the next minute. This means that riot can balance her combo so her damage scales fairly with how fed she is. Yone isn't like that and so they jam overloaded amounts of damage and mobility into his kit. Its not overpowered because hes not effeective enough to win games more than 50% of the time, but its also very unfun to play against.

a lot of yone players I play with mostly wins the lane but picks 2 things and then loses the game.
1.they stay in the lane just farming and torturing their opponent.
2.they roam to find unnecessary fights and then gets gapped.
it's probably mostly the players lacking on knowing what to do after they get fed
Zed ult and yone e only have the same percent damage at rank 1 but zed ult scales much better and also does 65% ad, zed ult is a blink and not a dash, and gives him one more shadow which means even more damage. Also Zed is only vulnerable of getting cc'ed when he ult's cause he always appears behind the enemy but yone is much more easy to be hit with cc cause somebody just has to wait for him to snap back. Zed ult is by far stronger than yone

Play rate matters though, win rates go up if only one tricks play him. Kaisa at one point had like a 95% pick ban rate, and had a 58% win rate. That means people who were auto filled were having success with that pick

Yone sucks bad toplane against meta picks (darius, aatrox,etc) and is mediocre into tanks and any other toplane champ, he feels really bad in short trades especially if your opponent takes boneplating and durability patch did him badly since most of the times he doesnt have enough time to kill someone with E + R + W + Q and a couple of autos combo, you cant even kill an adc sometimes if they are peeled by their enchanter support and you die insta if you get cc'd once or focused. Pre durability patch yone was strong but now he feels meh in top and idk about his state mid. He scales good but his laning is painful (As Yone top player lololo)
I mean he has a dash and knockup, a shield from a damaging ability, E gives him movespeed another mini dash and a cleanse, has a blink and another knockup, he has 100% crit at 2 items, he has true damage, and hybdrid damage. He's one of the best Lethal tempo uses even after the nerfs and is insanely hard to kill with Immortal Shieldbow. seems kind of broken to me
he doesnt have true damage, it just appears that way. his e deals post mitigation “true damage” based on how much dmg he dealt. the key here is post mitigation, if it was calculated as physical damage then it would be reduced by armor twice.
@@drg_rat that's still true damage. the damage coming from his E comes from the damage he deals while he's ooga booga'ing u which is getting mitigated by armor and mr then the snap back is true damage. that effectively means that he deals 35% bonus true damage. if he's clocking a malphite for 100 dmg per hit post-mitigation, his E is adding 35 true damage to each one of those autos.
@@mariohayek3278 thats not true damage. true damage is ignoring all resistances. if his e dealt PRE mitigation true damage that would be actual true damage. in your example yone is hitting a malphite for 100 per auto and his e is adding 35 damage. lets pretend yone has a shit ton of ad and malph has a shit ton of armor, and lets say yones autos would be doing 1k damage before malphs armor is taken into account (just easy numbers). if his e ACTUALLY did true damage, he would be smacking the malphite for 100 per auto and then his e would be adding 350 damage per auto on the snapback. the concept of true damage is that it cannot be reduced by resistances, yet yones e is clearly reduced by resistances. the reason it shows as true damage is because if it were to do physical it would be reduced by armor twice, once from the autos/dmg in e and once on the snapback.
Dont forget that q3 is soft unstoppable, he has an unstoppable recast on e AND a unstoppable and unstable R interaction with other things that push such as gragas r, and ali w

The term broken doesn't necessarily mean overpowered, it means that something is fundamentally wrong with him such that the slightest nerf or buff could affect his winrate by 5 or 10% in either direction. Think back to the 5 movespeed irelia nerf bringing her down from 53% to 49% in a single patch. Everybody meme'd about it, but for balls of stats and numbers like Irelia and Yone, a slight meme of a tweak could break the champion. That's primarily why he is broken. Him reaching his final form at 2 items is only part of it, there's a myriad things in his kit that never needed to be there, dashes upon dashes, movespeed, shielding, scaling with crit, attackspeed, and ad, mixed damage, true damage..
@@bos7522 Yone has a lot of tools but that doesn't make the champion strong overall, He has an incredibly abusable laning phase a TON of poor matchups and his mobility is only really combative mobility not really escapable mobility, you have to stack Q to get your q3 to escape with and E snaps you back so you cant use that either.
