Red wiggler worm are supposed to stay near the top soil level so I have seen from other videos. Do you find that to be the case or do they go deep and eat thru the lower pipe holes. The compost you put in the pipe goes down correct? Do you clean out the pipe at the end of the season? How do you water and how often? Got my barrels built and started seeds to day. Next step is to acquire compost and peat moss to fill barrels.

These look amazing. Where did you buy the flanges that attach to the bottom of the barrel & drain pipe?

I've been thinking of making or purchasing one like this. Great job! I was wondering about bottom for collecting compost and water from barrels.

@@ortenciahill513 happy you like the design. It is working out very cell this year. As for the composting you unscrew the bottom cap to pull out the compost. I have a a few videos that cover this topic

Great job. Would this be ideal for hot composting chickens manure, like just dumping it in as it fills up and watering through the middle pipe???? If so this could be my break from carrying bucket fulls of manure to my composting bin. Just dolly it out when it's ready to let sit. No turning required. Your thoughts?
