Want a big game? Notre Dame at Clemson in 2015 was as big as it gets.. A driving rain storm. Hurricane Joaquin.. Weather was so bad that 24 hours before game time, it was uncertain whether the game would even be played. Officials begged fans not to attend. Stay home. It's too dangerous. 80,000 showed up anyway. Both teams were undefeated. Clemson stopped ND's 2 point conversion with 7 seconds left to win 24-22. That game inspired the "Bring Your Own Guts" mantra. Clemson won the National Championship the following year.

I’m a Georgia grad, so I can and will say that UGA and Clemson are a lot alike… stadiums not as loud with lesser opponents, but get a big foe in there, and both stadiums rock…
Anyone can say their stadium and crowds are rocking when they play the very best teams on their schedule. Wow UGA's crowd really came to life when 'Bama came to town. Really? Clemson's fans are hilariously overrated. They have always been one of the most fairweather fanbases in the country. Clemson does deserve a better schedule. I'm thankful for the FSU game this year, make no mistake, but frankly I expect FSU to be 2-2 in September due to their schedule & the ND game once again being entirely incidental.
The preseason hype for FSU this year is like the hype for UNC last year. The Tarheels ended up with 5 losses including getting destroyed by Clemson and losing to Oregon at the end yet they were playoff contenders preseason. The media has to have a preseason darling.

At the Clemson-South Carolina game this year, the stadium had to turn the video board up (which played through the snap) because they decided their fans weren't loud enough. It was louder when the score was 14-0 than when it was 30-28 or 30-31. For a rivalry game, that was really a letdown. I'm sure it's great if the team is dominating, but I seriously can't believe the fans had to be assisted by the video board during a rivalry game
As much as I agree that looks bad, we stayed. I went to the palmetto bowl two years ago, and yall were gone by the time it was 7-0. It was a full stadium down to the last minute at Clemson, but yall left the second it looked bad. We got quiet because everyone was pissed at awful coaching, missed opportunities, dropped balls, and damn bubble screens every play. If the defense was just dominating us, and it wasn't us killing ourselves, we would've been hella loud, but sadly that wasn't the issue.
Lol ok. The stadium is plenty loud without needing to " turn up the video board." That may be what you perceived was happening but that ain't it. Some of the best games from an atmosphere standpoint that have taken place in that stadium have been very close games. So sorry it wasn't up to your standard though, I'm sure everyone there was doing it just for you.
I was at the Clemson vs SC this year. Surprisingly the atmosphere was not the best for a rivalry game and it also being a close game. But respect to the fans I’ve seen that place rocking before but they just didn’t show up that game.
