Oh, give us your vote Give us your vote If you know what's good for you Oh, give us your vote Give us your vote If you know what's good for you These are the lines That we straighten every year But it's the second time They mapped the constellations So we search for you by night In the Deptford gravel pit Until the tramp finds Christ Injustice is my middle name 'cause you don't need to change Your future's with us You don't need to change Your future's with us You look a wreck Left your key inside the door And my rook will check Across this black and white chessboard 'cause your English is good We can see it in your bones In this neighborhood We ain't driving you home 'cause you don't need to change Your future's with us You don't need to change Oh, give us your vote Give us your vote 'cause your English is good We can see it in your bones
it feels like this happened to me before.my favorite song with an awesome vid,i tried pausing it exactly at the end of the vid where they are king out on the perfect sunset.i reeli want o do something like this before the end of the summer..
hey! look im a "hipster" and i love this band being a hipster isnt hateing everything its just appreciating the more underrated underground things in life. we give the people who deserve popularity popularity among hipsters. now just because we like obscure music dosnt mean we hate mainstream music its just that most mainstream music just kinda sucks cause its over produced. but bands like this are the many exceptions to the hipster way of life.
@LVL5Start The pinpoint so much on our [theirs, symbolically] imperfections... and how much more beautiful pointing them out: is beauty. it makes us feel good about ourselves; For once. :)
These don't seem like hipsters to me. They seem like real teenagers. Their clothing style would be mimicked by suburban teens who sit on facebook and listen to Foster the People. These people seem real and untouchable.
@hellonearth069 hipsters aren't even in shape to do parkour. XD hell of fun didn't get into it until I moved to Japan. continued when I was moving around the last 3 yrs until I ended up in Istanbul, back in the US now, saving up cash to gtfo00 of america. It's not so interesting here man.Plus my degree basically demands that I be somewhere where all the action is happening . politically that is.
for the past months i tried to reunite my former bandmates to pull up something different than the punk-pop-rock-melancholy-whiny-stuff i hated so much and move on to something different. simplie, more dirt, more "it's just rock'n roll, just have fun". like the white stripes, kooks, the strokes, or tokyo police-club, if you want. just a guitar or two, bass and drums, no sax, no mixing table (wtf?), no chorus-piano. and then my guitarist comes up with "lets do some placebo-stuff". seriously WTF!?
I hope they get a small piece of wood or something organic stuck in their foot, but it's so small they can't really see it right away when they check the first time, so they put their shoe back on, and it goes a bit deeper, and it bothers them for the rest of the day, but only when they stand a certain way, and when they finally get home, they have to lift their leg onto the bathroom counter where the light is good, in an uncomfortable way, and dig around with tweezers until they find it.
This music video is like a memory you never had
hello from the future. it’s 12 years from now and Tokyo police club is on their final tour with Born Ruffians.
Oh, give us your vote
Give us your vote
If you know what's good for you
Oh, give us your vote
Give us your vote
If you know what's good for you
These are the lines
That we straighten every year
But it's the second time
They mapped the constellations
So we search for you by night
In the Deptford gravel pit
Until the tramp finds Christ
Injustice is my middle name
'cause you don't need to change
Your future's with us
You don't need to change
Your future's with us
You look a wreck
Left your key inside the door
And my rook will check
Across this black and white chessboard
'cause your English is good
We can see it in your bones
In this neighborhood
We ain't driving you home
'cause you don't need to change
Your future's with us
You don't need to change
Oh, give us your vote
Give us your vote
'cause your English is good
We can see it in your bones

200% verdad
@OuiOuiMonsieur
I wonder..how did foster the people get so mainstream?
is that an effect/filter used or does the video look old because an old recorder was used?
sometimes I forget they're from Canada because they sound so British
Do you use After effects / premiere pro or something?
always scrolling up because i fell like i'm not seeing enough of the video
I just luv this freakin song! The vid was ok, they did look like they were having fun though.
@SEVVER69 Indie rockers having fun in nature. Hipster's pretty much mainstream crap. This band is way off the charts from that :P
mi ingwish iz betta
Your English is good
These don't seem like hipsters to me. They seem like real teenagers. Their clothing style would be mimicked by suburban teens who sit on facebook and listen to Foster the People. These people seem real and untouchable.
Oh herro prease
The song is the okay, but the video is great.
ok, i'm buying Elephant Shell
TPC is sooo fucking awesome!!!
Why do we revere videos with attractive people so much when its ones with average people that make us feel good?
@Grensley no person is "average"
If you like this song, checkout "the Runaway" by Regret the Hour
WHY AM I NOT THESE PEOPLE

EN EL SEGUNDO 0:06 TE AMO

Isn't this pretty much the video to Mull of Kintyre?
Being underground is so mainstream
Harry main non stop vid brought me here.

@Indieelover have a bad english? ahahaha
@whenigethomeursoded Because you're on a computer instead of walking around outside. It's really not terribly difficult to be them.
@hellonearth069

@SEVVER69 there doesn't need to be an apostrophe mister hipster.
foster the people should have nothing to do with tpc
@SEVVER69 lololol still they look like they're having a ball, too bad no one does this irl
Maybe they meant "hipster is", and combined them.
well tpc were on tour with them...haha but if you did know that already i say there both great bands even tho i like tpc 20 billion times better
Acid is a hell of a drug
hipster's gunna hip
I meant the way it's directed/filmed, not the actual footage of hipsters frolicking around in woods barefooted.
I like 2:11
No?
This is a little similar to Kings of Leon’s Wasted Time.
ooo wow top comment good for me
you guys are basically hating on hipsters because you want to be them. But. I doubt your hipster creed
known this band before this style hipster
sad to know tht music is becoming a style
4 people didn't get their vote. Lol P:
