Dr. Avinash Kumar is a Hindustani Classical Vocalist. He is a disciple of Pandit Tushar Dutta, Pandit Somnath Mardur and Ustad Aftab Ahmed Khan following the Kirana and Rampur Gharana. Avinash is an ‘A’ grade artist of All India Radio. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Music, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College, University of Delhi. He also owns 'SAADH MANN PARAM RAS' foundation @sa_ma_pa_re. ( / con.. ) which organises traditional baithak style concerts.

Bright future for the young singer. Singing the Taan without singing the sargam is an extremely difficult task- like Pt Bhimsen Joshiji who use to rarely sing the sargam . Great singing! Tabla player is also very good. Only one suggestion to him - should play the repetitive theka little softly - especially when playing kali2-3 tabla.
