baraxor why would it have to be after ww1, the germans used the stahlhelm back in 1916, we chileans adopted it along with the pickelhaubes wich was tought by the german mentors, we still thank them for that :)
ncr veteran ranger The Stahlhelm used by Chile and other militaries after 1940 is based on the 1935 model, not the bulkier 1916 one. Originally the earlier model was used, but I believe that they were replaced by 1940 or very soon after.

Why doesn’t your army, the bundeswher goose step ? Their official reason is some silly excuse that they are light infantry and that light infantry doesn’t goose step in Prussian tradition. Light infantry was only small part of the army and making the whole army light infantry is a very convenient excuse.
Do the German people feel guilty for something which happened more than 75 years ago ? Is that the main reason for not goose stepping ?
@@KillerofWestoids after the war Germany was divided between East & West. West Germany was under allied occupation & adopted the Western March style, while East Germany under occupation from the Soviets kept the original march but changed the name to Exerzierschritt. When Germany was eventually reunified both these forces had to be joined back into one, but because the West had given it up a long time ago already they decided to forego the whole thing to make assimilation of forces easier.
If the West hadn't given it up then it would still be part of the military
