- This is my first NASCAR compilation for UA-cam. Scroll down to see download links for the game. I made the 2010 Nationwide carset and the Carl Edwards Claritin car. The Music is Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf.
If you want a good NASCAR simulator and cant afford a used $100 NASCAR Racing 2003 Season (which most believe is the best NASCAR game ever made) on Ebay, I strongly recommend NASCAR Racing 2002 Season. You can't mod it as much as 2003, but there are still plenty of downloads for the game. Here are links to some of the cars I used in the movie:

Yea. I needed an extra boost to fps, and it helps the view of the cars.

@MrSnowrocks I'll ask rob if we can do a 2012 carset. He might have to tweak the templates but I think we could. And as far as carsets, since the game has just one body, you can put all of the cars in the one folder and just make rosters for each of the sets.

@barneynward Yeah you can turn off the flapps. Just go into the installed directory of NR2002 or 2003, and go in to the player folder and to your player name and click on player.ini and change the text "employ roof flps? = 1" change the 1 to a 0. Save and play.

@51buschboy Thry modifying the ini so that drafting didstance is like 1.1. Make a backup ini first though.
The Newman Daytona wreck was nearly spot-on!

@MrSnowrocks there is a file on nnracing that has links to every track known for nr2002.
@willfryd Sorta... You can set steering to be the arrows on the number pad, but not on the normal arrow keys.
2:14 Wilson the Beachball. Look outside the track at the fuelball.
@NASCARDesigns I used two different clips for McD's flip; one was hitting the wall and it looks perfect but I only rolled once, so I turned the grip up and did some barrel rolling for the second clip. I could maybe merge them together though...

@roryfixkar Your welcome! So, when you installed the 1996 and 2000 carsets, just the Coca-Cola speedway freezez up. Yea, all you can do is just try reinstalling those carsets. Hope it works!
@MrSnowrocks I use fraps to record. Don't worry about multiple comments. The more the better! Sometimes I play nr2002. I am part of a nr2002 painting team at Robert Cage Inc.

@iamchazzi Yea that happent to me sometimes at the jump. If there are too may cars on the track the game shuts down. If you use 15-20 cars, it usually works.
@NASCARWWEFan4Life Yep! Every Windows from 98 to Windows 7 (what I use).
The links are for car packs. There is a mod for nr2003 that is compatible for nr2002 cars.

@RobloxianTelevision1 You cant use mods in 2002, but you can istall car files. If you don't know how, you can check out my tutorial for that.

@barneynward Yeah kinda. Just go into a track folder like 'Dega and click on track.ini and set "track_type" to a 4 and "chassis_type" to a 5.
@roryfixkar That's wierd... I've heard of that happening before. Where did you put all the car files?
@diecastkids513 It has the same physics, but the car bodies always remain the same.

@NasNYG567 Unzip all the .car files to the "C:/Papyrus/Nascar Racing 2002 Season/series/cup/cars" folder. If it's a .rar file, you can use a program called 7-zip that works very well. Hope that helps!

@RobloxianTelevision1 The 2002 game can't use mods, that's why the 2003 version is way more expensive. I have tried though.

Unfortunately, it cant be modded. I dont know why, but thats the sad thing. there are still lots of extra tracks and car that people make though. Check nnracing and team rci.

@TNTMan93 Yeah, that would be hard to reenact, because they were at the place where he got hit and then he flipped. So yeah it would be hard.

@TNTMan93 okay i had to unistall my game for the ccm part and it still doesnt work and i wanted to race at the jump. have you ever thought about doing a video on the talladega jump/ coaster? i cant get the jump to work for dega :P it takes longer to load but no effect to the track whatsoever... to get to it it is on nnracing and is on the first page (or last whatever you want to call it) of nr2003 and it is the first download i believe :P can you try that because it looks very very fun :D

@TNTMan93 Is Robert Cage Inc. going to do a paint set of the 2012 cars? Where is the site for their downloads, id like to check them out. Also, NR2002 is coming in the mail sometime in the next couple weeks, i was wondering if mods like 2011 Cup car and 2011 Nationwide cars and the default cars could all be run at the same time, meaning that i could change sets in the game and not have to go to the program file to change sets of cars. Idk if that made sense.
man nr2002 looks fun (yes i have nr2003) it looks like u don't make a lots of flies for new mods
and easier to exract flies
