I really appreciate the extra time you take in every video showing the little tips and tricks. It makes for a great learning experience and I could see how someone new doing this could get in a tough spot if they didn't know that.
Thank you so much for the kind words! That means a lot to me. Our whole goal with the channel was to not only show what's possible with pontoon restoration but to show how to go about doing it at home regardless of experience level. Hopefully we can keep hitting those little details that'll help more and more folks in the future too!
Always a pleasure watching you perform your magic. It’s great when people realize they can have a “new” boat without the new boat price. My 24 ft Smokercraft hasn’t sold yet so it’s off to shrink-wrap and storage so I’ve got room to work on my 27’ Avro tritoon based houseboat that’s coming in next month. 😁
Thanks for watching again! End of the season is a tough time to get any sort of value out of a used boat. No one wants to buy a boat to store it. Get it listed again early in the spring before the market gets flooded and you'll be just fine!
Didn’t find my winter junker to rebuild this winter yet. Might not find one, maybe I’ll have to do something else 😮 ETECs are great powerful engines, only disadvantage is noise compared to the modern 4 strokes.
Don't give up yet, with this warm weather a lot of folks are still using their boats. Just wait til the first cold/rainy few days and I'll bet you'll see all sorts of options popping up online! ETECs have the torque to really move boats that four strokes just barely push, I've seen it first hand. Power output every stroke of the engine has its advantages. However, the quiet and the fuel economy of the four stroke is hard to beat when looking at all around benefits and performance. ETECs might use less fuel at idle speeds, but they still like to DRINK GAS when opened up...plus the $50 a gallon oil too unfortunately. They still have their place though!
