Restoring a 1950's Paul McCobb Planner Group Winchendon Dresser! Solid Maple FAIL!

Here’s how I did it (the 5th time lol)👇🏼
+ used oxalic acid/wood bleach & scrubbed with steel wool to remove any discolorations
+ sanded with 120 grit then 150 grit
+ used general finishes oil based pre conditioner, waited an hour (thanks @midcenturydaydreamtx for the tip!)
+ stained with general finishes gel stain & wiped off with a clean rag
+ sealed with mohawk satin lacquer
