This was a good interview. A/B test was a great strategy. However, I feel under the use cases of Google Maps, some key points like looking for traffic in a particular area & visiting the travel timeline of a particular user was missed. I feel we could define at least 1 KPI for each use case and measure its success in the A/B test. That would help decide the vendor better. Overall, good content.
It is such a bummer that we can have been using Google map under limited features and boundaries due to restrictions of providing geometric information. It is quite sensitive thing to address from the perspective of national defense. I hope it will be better opportunity to have fully functional google map in Korea through transparency sharing, which it can comply with code and law.
