    So awesome to see how Natasha feels about kids on tech - couldn't agree more! Also, Moshe is pretty smart. I like how he was trying to parse what it means when people say the "women aren't funny" thing. You can see how he reasons things through, and that's pretty dope.

    Beautifully said, Moshe. The piece about jobs not necessarily equating to happiness/bliss in people's lives. Many, many happy people have the type of job you described. I appreciate your perspective and echo your sentiment. Also, I am loving reading Kasher in the Rye right now.

    “You have to go outside of the US”. Best quote. I tried to move to New Zealand a few years ago. Really wish I got that job. East coast cities feel like the suburbs now. All these people from the burbs moved in and have cars. They kind of made it suck. Now I either want to live in Copenhagen (a bicycle city) or the middle of nowhere so I don’t see suburban Trumpers anywhere. I’d rather see no people than those people.

    Years ago my my beloved black cockapoo, (passed away 5 years ago) was my little shadow. One night I decided to wax my legs and in the process I clumsily spilled hot wax all over her. Foolishly, I grabbed paper towels to clean up. So, basically we were tarred and feathered with wax and paper towels. I called up my neighbor to ask what would help remove the mess. Because my neighbors were a nosy pair they came over to laugh at me, but did offer a cure, baby oil. FYI, It did help. I had to give my dog a haircut to remove the wax.

      It’s great if you’re a rich white gay man from NYC. I actually do want a house in the inland there to be a recluse writer and enjoy their beautiful beaches and great coffee. But yeah, it’s very small with one street of touristy stuff (good food though). In the winter, like everywhere else on the Cape, it’s dead.

  • @clevermissfox

    German Shepards, like ANY breed of dog could be vicious if untrained or abused. However Shepard are one of the most easily trainable dogs and are SO smart and sweet . Keep in mind though, they need a JOB, or they can become depressed and lethargic. Please don't take rich's word and do your own research if thats the breed you have your heart set on. Theres also many rescue organizations in LA, and rescue dog doesn't mean broken dog. I've always found a stronger bond with rescue dogs bc they are so grateful to have a stable and safe home. As for insurance, upon a quick Google search I got this: Amica, Fireman's, State Farm, Chubb, Nationwide, Liberty Mutual, and the military's USAA homeowners insurance will all cover any breed.

      I grew up with a Great Dane /German shepherds mix and she was a great dog. But I live in a city now and feel having a big dog is unfair if I don’t work from home. I keep downsizing. Chihuahuas are the most underrated dog. They are active but not too hyper and pretty quiet dogs. They will alert if there is a noise coming, but then are silent most of the time. Mine doesn’t whimper. He will bowl with fire trucks though. They are smart, easy to train, don’t eat a lot of food, don’t cause mess, and are so funny sometimes. If you want a slightly bigger dog, rat terriers are also awesome (though need a bit more of a workout)

    Polyamory sounds like more work than it’s worth. But, maybe I’m just a 5 and cranky idk.

    • @JDMimeTHEFIRST
      @JDMimeTHEFIRST 3 роки тому +2

      She wasn’t even describing polyamory. Most people mean having sex with others while in a relationship. Which is fine if both people are fine with it. I think it’s always boring people who have no imaginative sex lives and that’s why they have to have sex with new partners all the time instead of developing newer things to do with their partner. I think having an active sex live is good, but you end up doing so much more and interesting things if you’re with one trusting person rather than having to start from scratch every time you have sex with someone new. Polyamory just sounds boring and too time consuming. Technically. It means you love more than one person romantically, so no one is satisfied completely emotionally or sexually. It sounds like a nightmare to me. You have to live with multiple unhappy partners while thinking they are happier with their other partners. It’s too stressful. Also, like when you date multiple people, you will get everyone’s facts mixed up more easily. This is the reason I don’t even like having too many friends. I’d rather have deeper relationships with less people than multiple shallow ones.

    Men saying that women aren't funny is ignorant sexism. Christopher Hitchens was one of my favorite writers and public speakers. But I was personally offended as a man when he would assert that women aren't as funny as men. Some of my favorite comedians have always been women.
    Catherine O'Hara, Joan Rivers, Madeline Kahn, Sarah Silverman, Amy Sedaris, and of course Natasha Leggero is way at the top of the list. Natasha is the sexist funny woman alive today.
    Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci should be on that list too.
