Could you kindly confirm if the result for the 4 point bending test on plain concrete, showing a stress of 0.3 MPa and a deformation of 0.0002 , is correct,? considering that the 4 mm displacement method was applied?
Hii,sir! I loved this video Can you share the engg. stress vs engg. strain values and true. stress vs true strain values obtained from experiment and the yield stress of the specimen. I am trying to validate true stress vs strain values obtained from experimental test and from ABAQUS.
Some word of advice for growing your channel faster: 1) use hashtags for example #abaqus #buckling #concrete 2) Publish regularly, possibly every day 3) Use timecodes for your videos 4) Use unique thumbnails Happy to see forthcoming videos from you :)
Hi, Sir! When you divide the force by the length you get the Eng.strains. My question: Is the length here the gauge length or the extensometer length? In the specimen I have tested, the gauge length is 60mm and the extensometer length is 40mm. I'm a bit confused about which length I should use to get my eng. Strains. Thanks!

very useful video, GOOD LUCK
Thank you sir. Can you make video on simulation of tensile creep test of metallic alloys.

Hello Sir, What will be the Length we will use to convert to Stress-Strain, if we are using Bem-Column Joint?? Like 1050 Beam and 1200 Column?
great video, keep up the good work, subscribed :)
Thank you Dr. Ronald for the encouragement. You are also supporting the community with your great education-contents :)

@@hnrwagner Great! I will try to get some value out of your suggestions.
Can you illustrate how to get stress and strain curve in cylindrical soil model under compression. Thanks
Why did the elastic portion of both elemental and global stress-strain curve is not overlapping since young's modulus is same for both?
Thank you Sir
Good video
Hello, are the strain values which are shown in Abaqus are %strain ?
The strain value is engineering strain and not %. You can see the maximum strain is around 0.8 (around 80%)

Hi Tameem, ideally you should use the extensometer measurement (deformation) and extensometer length.
can you please simulate a cyclic displacement control test and plot hysteresis loop? thank you in advance.
Sure, I will let you know when the video is available.
S22 is true stress, not engineering stress.
Exactly, thanks for pointing it out.
